Absolutely beautiful furniture. Wish that all this furniture could be salvaged and restored if needed. Breaks my heart seeing great craftsmanship of beautiful old furniture. The glossy bedroom cabinet is gorgeous. A real pity.

I agree. But our youth in America doesn’t appreciate great craftsmanship. They love IKEA. When our elders die, no one wants the beautiful old furniture.
@blytheclark89133 жыл бұрын
@@inspiredblue Exactly. It’s truly sad. My nephew loves old furniture, as he does carpentry. He's in his early 30s and actually appreciates antiques. My nieces order off Wayfair. Ikea is crap. It doesn't last forever like the antiques. I go looking for antiques often. My China Cabinet is from 1930's. Soon all history will be wiped away.

I have a beautiful 200 year old love seat that my great grandmother bought at a yard sale. It's stunning rose wood and I think it belongs in a museum. I'd love to have it identified, and find out where it's from originally. I have always loved antiques and I have a photo of it on my instagram. I think this man must have been an accordion player and maybe a known one. I his signature was on it. A clue! It might have been the son. You need to go back and see if you could find an accordion in either house. I wish I was there to do research on these homes and learn their stories...my kind of heaven...I love a good mystery! I would love to have thesignature on the accordion picture....I'd start researching. I saw some interesting g things in this house. On the tub side my mother had the same pink containers one has powder. She did have some expenses perfume and powders. This woman loved to get or crochet.. I love handmade and collect. Its a dying art! But I think you should go back and look for a accordion in either house if you could.
