The question we have to ask is, WHY has India lagged so far behind China? Ultimately, it boils down to the quality of these two countries' governance. The Chinese government has done an exceptional job, and the Indian government has done a shit job. There's no other way to put it. Both countries faced enormous challenges over the past 80 years. Both countries were impoverished. Both countries suffered from Western imperialism. And yet, China rose to the occasion, while India languished. The only major difference between China and India is that one is an authoritarian state and the other is a democratic state. An authoritarian state is much more efficient. This is, in fact, why Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan (the four "Asian Tigers") were able to build their supercharged economies. (Remember that Hong Kong was under British rule-it had no democracy.)

You missed the most important difference between the two countries…. China’s culture puts family, community, country before SELF. It is collaborative and cooperative. Not competitive to the point of confrontational.
@panyaboonc56216 сағат бұрын
Believe me. Even if India has the same capable government like China 80 years ago till today. India today will still be far behind China. Comparing the 2 countries people, comparing their IQ level, mentality they're far apart. Chinese are hardworking, practical and realistic people. India loved fantasy. Chinese get things done first and celebrate later. Indians celebrate first before they start their plans and before successful. India mixed religions and politics, even using religions to brainwash the people. Although China is not free from corruption, corruption happens in every country. But India's corruption is beyond imagination compared with China. Never heard any news report that India punished corrupted government officials. But China, corrupt state officials are severely punished if they are caught.

1)ignorance and overconfidence 2) Being dishonest and corrupt 3)lack of educated politicians in power 4) talented workers migrating to developed countries No-5) religious violance and cast system. So these are 5 most important issues that india will have to work on and eliminate in order to be semi superpower like china

@@panyaboonc5621 In spite of claims by India with regard to their education level, the quality is hardly comparable to ASEAN minus Singapore. Based on the 2009 PISA, they were way behind even behind the weakest ASEAN members. It would appear they seem to overwhelm the West whose education quality is on the way down the hill. Putting aside China, Japan, Koreas and Singapore, I doubt India could even compete with the rest of ASEAN members.

In the year 2016 the modi government banned China completely. And all of a sudden the prices of raw material increased, thus shutting down lots of small and medium businesses. Still most of the population in India is poor, middle, upper middle class. The gdp growth is just because of the GST tax which people are paying every month and at the end of the year people are paying income tax. How many taxes. Taxes on everything . Above all there is corruption everywhere in politics. Everywhere, in defence to finance bjp has their own people which makes more corruption easy.

Hi i'm an Indian and i wanna say something - actually this is good news for India not bad, the Indian govt has long been trying to keep chinese investments away from India but due to WTO rules it's been not super successful so far --> if chinese government itself bans investments to India, then there is nothing better for India. We dont wanna be "Slave" to CCP and we are happy here with our less GDP per capita rather than more GDP per capita but then becoming a slave nation where billionaires are trying hard to move away with their wealth and Chinese govt is trying to stop them/grab their wealth and "Force them to go out of public view" or even worse "Make them disappear" . Unlike China, we are a free nation - If Chinese govt bans investments into Indian automobiles, then thats great news - and please extend the ban from just Indian Automobiles to all sectors In India - we would be more happy :)

India should desist from trying to compete with China in Automobile sector. There are many other sectors that require India's focus. Ultimately the aim should be to improve people's lives in India. Electric Vehicles in India will hardly achieve that. China specializes in EV-based passenger cars. India should rather focus on EV-based heavy transport vehicles and not passenger cars.
@jonwijaya85394 сағат бұрын
If India can't even get EV-based passenger cars right, what chance does India has on EV-based heavy transport vehicles?
@anirbankanungoe372 сағат бұрын
@@jonwijaya8539 true. THe heart of EVs is the Battery Technology and the control system. Rather than airming for directly trying production - India is focussing of setting up Battery research institutions and vocational schools to create the necessary manpower. Because in case of technology denial by China - we will be prepared to support ourselves. China acheived this technological mastery over a long period of time. It would be stupid for India to think that they can take-on the Chinese in EVs overnight.
