I was 4 years old in 1975 and I still remember sitting in the big orange beanbag listening to ABBA records on my mom's phonograph with those giant headphones that were just a little bit bigger than I was. 😊 Keep being awesome, pink. You're a miracle

I was 10 years old at the time and was able to compare this to their earlier song "S.O.S" and to my ears "Dancing Queen" did not fare that well, ponderous barbie - doll echo piano piece. I also heard the whole album "Arrival" and several songs on it struck better.

I was a teenager during the 70's/80's. This was filmed in 1976. It was a wonderful time to be young. People were happier, relationships were closer, life was more care free, and the music was incredible. Attending concerts was a huge thing to do among young people back then. We loved it. Concert tickets were not that expensive at all. The groups my friends and I loved were Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Lynrd Skynrd, Journey, Styx, Foreigner, Triumph, 38 Special, Boston, REO Speedwagon, Rush. I was around the same age as these kids on the dance floor in the video. ABBA is in the top 10 of album/singles sales of all time, selling around 400 million copies. Though I wasn't and am not a huge fan of theirs, their songs bring back a ton of wonderful memories.

'Dancing Queen' is ABBA's biggest selling single worldwide and was their only #1 on the Billboard Chart. But 'Take A Chance On Me' actually sold the most copies in the USA. So that maybe the next one to check out. ABBA did songs in all sorts of different styles and their second biggest seller is the Latino Folk inspired 'Fernando' .

ABBA is together with The Beatles and Queen the most versitale group in music history. This song was releasted in 1976. ABBA is goat of pop I would say, has sold around 500 M albums. I don’t think any women has sold more albums than Agneta and Frida as leadsingers, so yes. 🎉 Second most popular song they have got? Well, It’s so many - maybe Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, The Winner Takes It All or Fernando I would say but Chiquitita, Take A Chance On Me, Knowing Me Knowing You, Mamma Mia or SOS are in the same level I think. Atleast 50 more bangers… My personal favorite is the romantic R&B-sounding The Name Of The Game. By the Way - check them in LIVE aswell, excellent, no autotune those days. What I liked about ABBA is thier sound was a slick combo of music from thier country, a funky, punchy rhythm section and those beautiful vocals..I bet thier recording tech always ran thier mikes "hot" to make 'em stand out even more.

They didn't speak a word in English when this was recorded, they came from Sweden and lit up the dance floor back in the 70's they also lit it up in the 90's when I was at the dance clubs, they can still light up the dance floor today.

Ah love me some ABBA! Great rabbit hole to go down. This a group from Sweden made up of 2 married couples. The blonde is named Agnetha and she married the guitarist here named Bjorn. The auburn haired girl is named Anni-Frid aka Frida or Annie and she married the pianist whose name is Benny. ABBA is the first initials of their first names. They were huge and I mean HUGE back in the 70s and 80s. They've sold over 400 million records. Only the Beatles have sold more. And did I mention they didn't speak much English? They sang in English because it was the biggest market. They speak it now. Both the girls had incredible voices but nobody could harmonize like Agnetha and Frida. It was called the bands third voice.
