Beautiful music. Yes we had better times, some of us were abused, some abandoned,, parent deaths, life still went on. Now you're in your room, this song comes on and tells you to " carry on, there will be peace when you are done." I don't think I need to say anything more.

Totally classic. So many great songs from Kansas. Dust in the Wind is probably most well known. You may have heard it already unawares. Steve Walsh is the singer.

Steve Walsh is the lead vocalist Great reaction. Funny how you mentioned sounding like church. The guitar player with the long blonde hair is Kerry Livgren and he wrote this song. He later became a Christian and left Kansas to form a group, a Christian rock band called AD. The bass player, Dave Hope joined him in AD. Kansas has so many great songs, before they recorded Wayward Son and afterwards. If you do a deep dive on Kansas and Kerry Livgren you will find many musical treasures.

These guys are master musicians, and the lyrics in their songs are usually profound and poetic. The vocalist with the beard, Robbie Steinhardt (R.I.P.), was a classically-trained violinist. Next, I recommend: "The Wall", "Song for America", "Dust in the Wind", "Miracles Out of Nowhere", and "Icarus (Borne On Wings of Steel)". In all of these you can hear his fantastic violin skills.

Back in the day when this was hot for some reason Kansas NEVER played in Nebraska. I lived there so a buddy and I had to go to Red Rocks Colorado(God's Cathedral). Very well worth the trip and a nice ride on a couple of Harleys with our girls. 300 miles each way with roughly $1 a gallon for gas on bikes. Hell yeah.😎😎 I've seen them since then with the new band members in Reno (Harrah's former outdoor venue) Still killin' it. I still have this LP./Album. "Point of Know Return" and "Dust in the Wind" are two other awesome songs from that era 45 years ago. They're still played on classic rock radio. "Surely Heaven waits for you"😇😇😇😇😇😇😇

Here's a strange song from 1969. The composer/singer said that the song wasn't about anyone in particular, but years later he admitted it was about an old girlfriend of his during the 1960s. Once heard never forgotten. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGmtgJxnppqondU

@bickleyjonas6145 At the beginning of any big showdown episode, they would do a Road So Far montage on what led to that point. I don't remember how many times it was used over 15 years, but it was quite a few times. Edit: 15 times it was played. It was the music for the montage at the beginning of the final episode each season.
