I remember when ABBA broke out with their hit song Waterloo. I was about 16 years old and at Boarding School in Rhodesia at the time. I am 65 years old now and living in South Africa. And it truly warms my heart to see so, so many young people who attended this phenomenal concert, who weren't even born at the time. A true testament to how legendary ABBA are still today ❤️

Inolvidable! ❤️🌷🥲

I just got home to Northern California from London. I specifically went there to see that show. I went with my wife and my 26-year-old daughter. We had a great time. Was amazed. I really was thinking about it during the show how it’s done by industrial light and magic who did of course Star Wars in 1977 this is all, movie technology that we grew up with in my Gen X generation. I told my younger daughter that I think this is the beginning phase one of what to come as far as concerts go. Because the songs from the Gen X and baby boom world have stood the test of time, afterwards a couple days later my wife and daughter and I went to the west side and watched Mamma Mia. I go to New York every year to watch Plays and I never went to the west side. I never really thought of London as being super artsy. Well I was wrong. The woman who was the lead in Mamma Mia was absolutely stunning. I think I’ve hit a point in my age where I really appreciate acting and art. I have done several plays in my day even in my 50s and I am a competitive roller skater who works his way all the way up to being a national champion. I loved ABBA and I had a ABBA greatest hits cassette tape that I know I wore out when I was in the military

I'm a bit confused. Is ALL of it pre recorded...? Most specifically, their old songs. I know they have a band and backup singers performing live. But...what's with Abba's voices....? The sound of the songs sound EXTREMELY close to their official old recordings. In other words....are the holograms lip syncing ...? Because I remember, when the whole thing was in the production process, thinking that the four members would be off stage SINGING LIVE with their real voices to the hologram images. Now I think it is all a big, sophisticated video with some live elements on it-( backup dancers/musicians).

@OperaJH2 жыл бұрын
You can see their real faces all the time. In their 70’s now, they would never be able to give you what you imagine they would. They correctly know that if they appeared live, it would tarnish the magic that was ABBA. So they are correct in offering themselves up in essence to allow us to experience who they were, when they sang these songs live for us. They are absolutely right to comeback this way and with their new album: now that is them live today. ABBA has given us much more than we could ever have dreamed of these past 40 years

This is weird! It’s not really them so they are just moving images like a film. They can’t react to the crowd because there’s no one there. Half the reason a live show is so great is because of the interaction and interplay with the audience. So to me this doesn’t work! I can’t cheer for Avatars! That’s just too Bizarre! Although I see that others don’t care about this. Maybe they don’t know any better. I’d say since they don’t know what a real show is they accept this. But to me it’s a great technical achievement but it still a Fail. I can’t get into it. Id rather see a Tribute band instead with real people on stage portraying Abba or anyone else! I’m pro Human! I don’t cheer for digital creations! That’s too strange but you all go ahead and knock yourselves out pretending it’s ABBA. It’s Not! I hate to break it to you but someone has to. I must be the only ABBA fan who could find fault with the show. Perhaps I expected too much. I won't say why as it would spoil it for others but I now wish I had read all the newspaper reviews beforehand as the clues are there. It's a feast for the eyes of course, but I thought I was going to see ABBA in concert as they were in their prime but of course it's not that, how could it be. KZbin clips of the '77 & '79 tour dates are better.
