Awesome video, Guy. This location is within walking distance of my house and I know it very well. It was great to feel the history come to life having spent many walks in and around this site and the woods with my friends and family over the years. I love the way you have always used real locations to inspire yourself and your viewers into creating interesting adventures. Keep up the great work.

I love this! If I were to give any critique, it would be that the camera feels a little close to your face. It feels a little like I’m invading your personal space, which might make viewers uncomfortable. Can't add much to the comments that are already made. Excepts for a big thank you from the depths of my heart for pulling of a new show for us. Very entertaining, vivid and cool story to draw from. I've been loyal to your old channel and will be to this one!

As soon as I heard the idea I loved it. Everytime i visit an historical place, a ruin or even a museum the wheels in my head start spinning about what adventure I can create from it. For me this idea is bang on!!! I hope that you will release maps and maybe maps with descriptions of the different areas. I can come up with at least 5 different adventures for this depending on what time it is in the life of the abbey can't wait to see more! Maybe a Patreon or Discord dedicated specifically to this channel? Also, lets like and leave lots of comments to get that algorithm going!!!

I love this idea for a channel. I love your delivery, voice, and the use of maps. My only suggestion is less talking head in the shots, and more view of the actual place. Keep going!!!

The adventurers must take the heart to holy place but someone else wants it. Cool!
@peleg674823 күн бұрын
So many stories can be told to be honest based on what part within the time of the Abbey you are planning to play? Maybe the PCs are tasked with bringing the heart to its final resting place? Maybe the PCs are to stop/help the knight who ran on a lion's back from reaching his destination? If you are okay with more sexually charged stories maybe the monk sleeping with the wife is part of a bigger chain of sex use/trafficking and killing that Monk just created an opening for a more devious plot? Of course your idea is great but why are we only looking at the end of the story?
@m0rchzts4me9622 күн бұрын
@@peleg6748 I was at work when I wrote that and I didn't have time to write more but, yes, there's even a potential event around the wrong trees being planted or a story about the construction of the Abbey itself. The players could also be sent to verify the authenticity of the holy relics.
@peleg674822 күн бұрын

Honestly, I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this new channel, but after this first episode I'm completely hooked! Living in southern California, there aren't exactly a lot of historical ruins I can drive to and explore. The map is a great addition. This makes great inspiration, not just for your typical fantasy RPG but also for something with a more historical bend, like Ars Magica. It would be a lot more useful for the latter if it had a few more details, especially dates for historical events mentioned would be very useful.

First of all, amazing format! This is very much the butterfly to the previous channel's caterpillar. Second, what if the Squirrels were the PC's from a religious order dating back to when the church was built? Sworn to Charity, Poverty, and Nuisancery, they are forbidden to actively aid the ghosts in the spirits' quest for peace; instead, they're charged with keeping everything and everyone else from interfering with the ghosts' plights.
