I'm a new VA. Well n9t even working yet. I'm still building my backend and learning as much as I can. Before I truly start. But one thing that I learned from this video... Is the going the extra mile to landing a client. Doing a "work sample" of something that you could do for them. That really stuck with me. Well alot of it did actually but that was one thing I put on my trello board to make sure I remember so I can stand out and not just tell them what I can do but actually show them tailored to their own business. Completely unrelated note my husband walked in on your ending beatbox and I just so happened to be practicing my dj skills with headphones 😂😂 it was comical. Thank you for providing the laugh. Haha. Great content!

Thank you for sharing that story at the end 😂 Showing (value) and not just telling about it does take a bit more effort but it truly does make you stand out. I'm curious, what's stopping you from getting started now?

I have been a VA for three years and have struggled to find new clients. The first thing people ask me is, do you post on social media - unfortunately, I am not good at social media (one thing I do not offer as a VA). Do you know of any websites that are VA hiring boards? I know about Hire My Mom but are there any others? I would much rather people find me - is social media the only way for that to happen?

@@thevirtualsavvy Abbey, I have requested to join your facebook group 3 times now, and I keep getting rejected. What exactly am I doing wrong with my responses?

Yes have been wondering what I'm doing wrong. Its been 2+weeks since I launch and reason why I didn't promote locally because I feel people not really supportive

What if you give it a try anyway? It may take some time to get that first client; it's the perfect time to try different marketing methods to see what works for you and your business. Rooting for you!

Putting out some tasty , quality samples for job interests. Fast isn't always best - time and thought about working with the client is what gets positive response.
