Sting rays are not endangered species ., They are abundant and are reared as food in Malaysia, just like all fishes. 😊 Eating seafood is more humane than eating land animals❤

Totally agree but they weren’t eating them! They were just there for tourists entertainment, which just feels cruel! Would rather they ate them 😂☺️

Stingrays ARE endangered. The fact that locals state they are not, is exactly the problem. Lack of education and environmental awareness makes it even worse. There is a reason why seafood and fish are so much going up in price in Malaysia. Try getting good sea prawns (udang laut), almost impossible unless you’re willing to pay the very high prices. Most of the seafood now is cultured in farms, as the ‘wild’ seafood is just not there, overfishing is a real problem here in Malaysia. Ignorance and greed…

@@EGO0808 There are many species of stingrays. A few species are endangered , but the ones served on the table as food are not. The ones sold at wet markets and supermarket are abundant and not endangered. Same thing for fresh water fish.

We have been lucky the whole time we have been in Malaysia! We were in Langkawi 3 weeks ago and it rained for 1 day and then on the other days it was ether rainy in morning or evening

I find that the mangrove tour is more interesting where you get to be in close proximity with the wildlife there. There're snakes, monkeys, huge lizards, and much more. Anyways, that could be for another day for you guys, though. Thanks for sharing! 😊

Mangrove ecosystems are always influenced by high and low tides, the water is quite muddy with sea life like mudskippers, snails, small fishes, birds, squirrels, monkeys as well as snakes, monitor lizards and sometimes crocodiles.. watch out!
