Guns used were likely not gained legally, especially if one or more was automatic. Any gun law that would get passed due to this would do nothing to prevent another incident since the only people the law would affect are those that wouldn't commit such an act in the first place. Criminals and gang members don't follow gun laws. As an added note. Any law passed that would have some affect, like say adding additional penalties and punishments to crimes committed with gun would be decried as racist since they would likely be used mostly against a particular demographic.
