I’ll take the “System” QB, instead of the flash and dance QB, any day. Playoff time is crunch time. Lamar threw an interception into the endzone with his receiver being covered by 3 defenders. Jordan Love threw an interception on his final drive that eliminated his team. On 4th down, Jared threw the ball into the grassy field and handed the ball back to his opponent. So what that Purdy threw one INT; important thing is he corrected and then dug in for the kill. That’s what a smart tough guy does. Purdy shows up to the stadium wearing Carhartt, other QBs show up in their wild color pimp suits. I’ll take the guy who gets the job done.

I was somewhat concerned at the half - realizing that we get the ball first in the 2nd half, I knew there was hope. I recalled the 2012 NFC Championship game when we were down 21-7 late in the second quarter and were able to come back; That was actually in the back of my mind the entire half.

Bill Walsh understood that the play book didn't always apply during a game, win or lose. Jim Habrough almost understood this. Shannahan Dosent. A good team, but not great. Too concerned with rules. No chance against the Chiefs, close score or not. Ask Patrick Willis, Bowman, Young, Lott etc all.
