Had he been fit and healthy and exercised, he would be struggling so bad with this virus that has a 99% survival rate! He’s a walking disaster! @Karen Karen like what? Questions arent usually bad
@kryptofreak744 жыл бұрын
@Karen Karen For decades, surgeons have been wearing masks in the operating room to prevent them from infecting their patients with any cold/virus they might have. A surgeon might have to wear that mask for several hours, and I have never heard of a single surgeon dying from wearing one. It has been established medical fact that masks help prevent the spread of disease, and it was never political until now. Also, we don't have a lot of good data about demographics and infection rates because we dont have a coherent national response. The states have been left to handle virus individually, and each state has it's own method of diagnosing covid and collecting data. There is little to no consistency in the way states collect and report their data, which makes it very difficult to interpret the results. The CDC and the national government really hung us out to dry on this one. All we know for sure is that hand washing and mask wearing works to slow the spread of the virus because hand washing and wearing masks works to slow the spread of MOST viruses. I suspect we'll see fewer cases of the flu this year than normal, since so many people are being more careful about their hygiene.
@kryptofreak744 жыл бұрын
@Karen Karen I also agree that there are a lot of questions the media isnt answering, partly because they probably dont KNOW the answers, and partly because they like to repeat the same talking points OVER and OVER. I'd tell you to read the medical journals, but even they are reporting on studies that have a couple hundred people in them. A couple hundred. MILLIONS of people have been diagnosed with the virus, any legitimate study should have THOUSANDS of participants AT LEAST in order to be considered credible. This is where the problem of the national response comes into play. We can't just have one small study conducted at one hospital in one state. We need huge studies conducted across the country, with communication and coordination between dozens of states and hospitals. The kind of thing the national government should be in charge of, but they aren't doing because the numbers "look bad." 🙄
