I may be a white boy from Alabama, but my grandma just died and I head home to the funeral this weekend and god damn did this touch me. My Gonnie was not quiet nor as kind and hopeful as Michelle’s mom sounds but she was a teacher. She had biggoted tendencies but she went to an HBCU and taught at a majority black school in Alabama and she raised me to know better than even she could. She voted Democrat for the first time for Obama. And god damn if Kamala wins and my vote plays a part I am going to make her so proud. I wish she could have heard this speech. Damn. This was so touching to me right now and I needed it.

Viewing this from the other side of the Atlantic, in the UK, I couldn't feel anything other than so moved, exhilarated and energised by Michelle's speech! As a retiree, I too share those same homespun values handed down from my elders. Rarely have I heard such a powerful, commanding and very competent speech, calling the "faithful" to spread the word and achieve success. To DO SOMETHING isn't just about America, but for the world as a whole! It needs Kamala and Walz to ensure safety, well-being, and a future for everyone. Good luck for your success in November!!

It was a generic speech with vague motivational points that anyone could make. " As a retiree, I too share those same homespun values handed down from my elders." sounds like what an Ai would write for a speech. I dont understand why people get so emotional over easily digestible pap that does realistically nothing to improve the lives of Americans.

So eloquent....I've been looking foward to her speech all week. She expresses all that is good in the States. The reason millions of people want to ...come to America . I am white, the product of Greek and Cuban immigrants. Born in the States as my father who returned to the States after WW2 , peniless and war ravaged with his 2 sisters and mother who was part Greek and part Italian.....The American Red Cross collected its citizens or what was left of them , those standed in Europe during the war.... My father served in Korea years later . Returned to work and make a life for himself and later on for me and my Mom. They remained grateful all their lives for the chance the U.S. gave them to live and prosper. They experienced racism and prejudice as I did growing up in the 70s but that didn't stop us from feeling or being American. The beauty of the States is in that chance to progress , to share your multi national, multi racial wealth with others like you from all over the world . The insane racial violence has to stop once and for all. Voting Trump means only destruction of the ideals that created these UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...... Wake up people , the time has come .

Michelle was a very successful lawyer and organizer. She was a critical part of the strategic team who supported Obama's rise through the political ranks. Remember, SHE was Obama's mentor for that summer program at the law firm. And as he campaigned for president, his team took her aside and urged her to fall back a bit so as not to outshine him. Both Michelle and Obama wrote about this in their respective books. They made her do the speech circuit for Obama's campaign trail, remember? She has always been brilliant.

Stop letting politicians affect your choice based on emotions and catch all slogans like hope and change. The democratic party has run our economy into the ground by opening the borders and engaging in proxy wars with Ukraine to line the pockets of military contractors so they can continue to get rich off war and death. Actually listen to what Trump is saying. He declared that he'll immediately end the war between Ukraine and Russia and broker peace. As soon as he said that, they tried to assassinate him. Kamala wasn't even chosen as a candidate by the people, they re-ran Biden until the primaries were through, then put Kamala in. This whole administration has been a puppet President illegally ran by the Obama organization. Why would you vote for the same party that has caused inflation to go through the roof, and has made a trip to the grocery store for 5 or 6 items cost $50. Stop voting with your emotions. The doom and gloom is already here, quit ignoring. A Venezuelan gang has taken over an apartment building in Auroa Colorado and kicked all the legal residents out. Why would you vote for more of this crime perpetrated on us by an incredibly corrupt administration. Biden has dementia and has clearly not been in charge for the last 2 years. Trump is not a career politician and actually offers true hope with out parading it around with generic slogans. Trump actually stands up for other people. Trump isn't afraid to expose the media which is all owned by 6 multinational corporations. You literally can't trust any of the mainstream media, they are not your friend. Trump also wants to broker peace between Israel and Palestine. His words were, "I want people to stop dying". The democratic party wants more war, because they're in bed with the military contractors. All they care about is lining their pockets, they don't care about the people dying in these proxy wars were funding.

If you close your eyes, you can’t tell difference between Michelle and Kamala. The voice, energy, and delivery of message is the same. You ever wrote her speech should right for Kamala and if Michelle wrote her own speech then she should write for Kamala.
