Ikr! If you want a good laugh, look up Jonesy's Jukebox with Taylor Hawkins. It's from I think 2018 or 2019 where they take over the show for about 40 mins, it's hilarious!!! Jonesy is the drummer from The Sex Pistols and has a rad radio show in LA. I really hope you enjoy it 💙

I can’t imagine how hard it must be to remain this grounded for most people thrown into the spotlight at such a young age. Truly an inspiring human. Nirvana was everything to me in 1991 in 7th Grade. This dude has been touring since YEARS before that and he couldn’t be more humble and cool and grounded. Truly remarkable.

On Howard Stern he was asked who he'd like to have induct him into the rock and roll hall of fame if that ever happened (was before it actually did happen) and he said some drummer from a band I can't recall, and then Howard asked "Does anybody in the band object to this choice?" and Pat Smear said I do. "It should be Dave's mom" got a little teary eyed.

@sdc64472 жыл бұрын
What don't you get? I admit I haven't liked everything they've done but There is nothing left to Lose and In Your Honor are solid albums. So is Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace. He was around 25 or so when those first 2 albums were relessed You can't always write the same sounding tripe every album. Unless you're KISS or AC/DC. Like I said, I haven't liked everything. Some stuff sounds like they're always trying to write the next Chevy commercial. They're stuff I solid, though and they've never had a bad album
@neekondrums2 жыл бұрын
I hear what you're saying. I've liked some of the later stuff here and there, but not as much as those first 2 albums. The thing to notice is that Dave played all the drums on that first album and most on the second, and he has a specific thing that he brings to the table when he's playing drums. If the thing you liked about those 2 albums was partly due to his drumming, then, yeah, the albums after that may seem to be missing something in comparison.

Whats not to get about nothing left to lose? Its banger after banger?
@neekondrums2 жыл бұрын
@@tonybruce Funny you should mention There Is Nothing Left to Lose. I agree, it's a really good album, but Dave Grohl also played drums on about half those songs (including "Learn to Fly").

True story. Dave Grohl urinated on my foot (by accident) at a urinal in 1995. He was playing one of his first ever gigs with Foo Fighters at the original Fisherman's Wharf on The Gold Coast. Interestingly, Nirvana had played the same venue some three years earlier. I can remember talking music with him when I said to him "Dude, you pissed on my shoe!" It was funny. He has an electric personality.
