Thank you. I'm a female , 57, smoker for 47 years, and only found out in the last month I have atherosclerotic disease of the abdominal aorta and iliac arteries with mild calcification. I learned this myself by viewing my disk from breaking my spine. They never told me. I read the report. I taught myself to understand the ct scan animation and I see nearly 50% of the right iliac artery is calcified. It has the white, so I remember that from my mamograms that calcifications are white. They knew it a year and a half ago and didn't tell me and now I'm having a bad heartbeat and signs of a bad heart and my brother died of congestive heart failure a year ago and he is 8 yrs younger than me.

My dad's ruptured in the hospital and the tried to fix it not opening him first and when that didn't work they opened him and he died. Should they have opened him immediatley?
