AH-HA! Yep... so many packages... new blade. LOL! Abel sure has a quick firing engine... I love that. Sean, you never fail to amaze. The valve adjustment is so easy that even I could do it. AND, I get to fabricate a tool! It is a win-win! Thanks so much for doing all the hard and tedious work by researching this.

Sean, is the nut around the allen keyed shaft basically a jam nut to prevent the allen keyed shaft that you turn, from turning? Make sense? lol

I know its been a few years. I watched the other videos about the upgraded governor and turbo. Never saw a art number but can you please confirm that the new290 hp governor part number is 4R-9036, and that the upgraded 290hp turbo part number is 10R-6402 ?

Did you know that you can start the motor with the cab in the up position without getting into the cab. It is on the right side of the truck after it is up

Sean the reason why there was confusion in my comment in the other video is because that's not a transfer pump. That's the high pressure pump. Transfer pump is either in the fuel tank or driven off the engine like the old cummins being cam driven

Tyler, the transfer pump is on the governor. It is the one that was seized and was not allowing Abel to stay running. I won't be doing any form of electronic fuel pump add ons. If I wanted any of that I would have bought an A1 version LMTV. I bought the mechanical version because they are very very simple and reliable if maintenance is kept up. Thanks for watching.

Now you know As you mention a lot of ppl will be rolling coal with this one...a lot of guys was asking about how to adjust the governor on these trucks, what speeds did you get it up too😀

@@johnsondml Unfortunately I know that is true. One good thing though is that this mod will only shoot a small bit of "coal" upon touching the throttle. The main problem with the guys that don't know how to adjust these and just remove them is that spraying cold diesel fuel on a hot cylinder tends to break things (cracks pistons). I was talking to a few cat mechanics who warned me not to remove it but rather figure out a way to adjust it if it were possible. I chose the latter obviously.

I got my 1088 up-to 60mph on the hwy and that’s because I’m running the 1600 tires, and that’s pushing the rig, I don’t like to do that, I’m just curious how fast will it go with that 2 full turns😀

@@johnsondml I'm not sure I follow? The boost compensation/anti smoke/aneroid valve is for throttle response/tip in fueling. It has 0 to do with top speed. We have high speed gears in Abel and he cruises nicely at 60 mph. Is that what you mean?
