Enjoying this one. Sorry you hurt your back. My left leg is almost 2 inches shorter than the right. Rods and screws after turning a flip and landing on my concrete floor in the house. Broke the left hip and femur. Well after 5 years of it slowly getting shorter my right hip is in pain constantly. Over use. Now I don’t know what to do. Scary. I know how you feel Abel. Rest and stay warm.

I recommend a hip replacement. I had one last July and had only mild incision pain and was walking a few months later.

I think these videos are the best out here now. I like the fact that he camps at least a couple days etc sometimes. Only think I hate is getting wet. I would not like wearing wet clothes. I would already be bundled into my tent before it rained. It's much better also when he takes Victoria with him. They seem to have so much fun together. I tell you what I don't like, the concrete jungle. I would rather be out in nature, there is also more to hunting than just getting venison. And that is watching the birds, the chickadee that will land on the bills of your hat, the beautiful fall leaves. There is just nothing like it. And to some the camaraderie of cards, jokes, etc st hunting cabins.

With the tarp covering your tent, you definitely kept yourself a lot warmer. With the tent being dry, it stays warmer than when it is wet.

Hey, Abel…my Physical Therapist had me take an elastic band and tie it between my ankles in a standing position and sidestep ten paces to the right and then ten paces to the left and repeat. Try that every day a couple of times a day to strengthen those lower back muscles - it worked for me. Oh, love your sarcasm and adventures!

Yeah over here in the US there's a phenomenon called thunder snow. Could be elsewhere as well. When we have huge snow storms that's when that occurs. Truly awesome

OMG Abel - you did so much better than I would. When I hurt my lower back I am sore/stiff for at least 3 days... and that's at home, not out in the tops like you did! Although you were in excruciating pain, you did an awesome job! Great ideo, awesome to see the snow, although I watched with a blanket around my shoulders LOL. Sorry you were hurting so bad..☹️😞 I’ve got lower back pain, I have to lie down to get the pressure off the vertebrae…and sometimes I bring my legs up to my chest to help open up the vertebrae…it does help, so maybe if it happens again try what I do..good luck and hope you feel better soon..love watching your channel..😁👍🏻👍🏻

Terrific footage of the snow and storm! What a trooper to put on a smiling face, keep going and still enjoy the time on the tops despite the obvious pain you were in. From what you've described it does sound like a disc injury. When they go out of alignment, the sciatic nerve gets pinched and pressure builds. This translates down the leg as pain, weakness and even numbness. Last year my husband experienced a severe extraforaminal disc herniation and it took many months to heal but he was able to avoid an invasive operation through aquatherapy. It was a deal-breaker and was much more effective than physiotherapy. With changes and retraining with the way he lifted it has not been a problem since. If you can get in the pool and walk, resistance exercise is key. All the very best for a full recovery with no lasting issues.

It’s been a week and there has been pretty substantial recovery. I think the injury wasn’t super serious but it’s given me a wake up call to be more careful. Still a bit weak and sore but way more mobility and seem to improve daily

You could slip some of those gel-heat packets for handwarming - one-click and they heat up. Not too big to carry either, but can delvier heat to a specific spot.
