Hello folks! And a very warm welcome back to What’s For Tea :) I made a batch of Aberdeen ‘buttery’ rolls or Rowies :) Also known as Scottish croissants. Give them a go…they’re lovely.

Makes 12-18 rolls
ShoppingList:
550g (19.4 oz) Plain or all purpose flour, or strong bread flour
7g (1/2 tablespoon) Dried yeast
3 Teaspoons salt
1 Teaspoon brown sugar (use white if you prefer)
350ml (12.3 oz) Lukewarm water
A splash of oil for greasing the bowl
200g (7 oz) Salted butter
100g (3.5 oz) Lard
A sprinkling of sea salt
