Congratulations to a super talent! It was a bit sad when they asked about any hobbies or interests aside from chess and the child was speechless. Twelve hours a day for a twelve year old cannot be healthy. Let's pray he doesn't burn out at a young age.
@hosiahjones
@hosiahjones 3 жыл бұрын
Nick Lento, wrong. Burnout only happens when you don't achieve your most inspired goals. This achievement will only energize the young man. Abhi Mishra will be more energized than ever to reach 2700 by age 15. (But you are half-right, if he had struggled to reach this goal of grandmaster for a couple years, he would probably get frustrated and burnout.)

Many people regret the loss of their childhood time because they didn't find something they're passionate about or they didn't spend their entire childhood to become better at it than everyone else. People with 'normal' 12 year old childhood are more likely to regret their childhood than this young man is.
@iffus_akiyoshi

@@mitchk2140 so you mean the point of childhood is to play around doing nothing? Who decided that? People in different circumstances will have different expectations for how they childhood should have went. @iffus_akiyoshi
@iffus_akiyoshi 3 жыл бұрын
@@serp6768 what exactly will he be missing in his childhood? That he didn't goof around? Lol no, he definitely will not regret missing that. As a result, he's far more mature and has achieved so much more than his peers, and he might have cultivated more meaningful relationships than his peers considering his maturity versus the typical selfish nature of children at his age. So no, he will definitely *not* regret his childhood. Instead, his childhood will undoubtedly be the time that he is most proud and happy of. If he were to regret anything, than it would be his young adult years, where he would expect to pursue more things than just what he is passionate about, like a good wife and great friends, etc. People don't normally expect too much out of their childhood. This boy has done far more than is expected for someone still in their childhood. The people you said who were put in spotlight at their childhood and went off the rails definitely didn't regret their childhood, instead they certainly would have regretted the time period when they went off the rails, which is normally their teen years or young adult years. To them, they must have wished that ruined time period went as smoothly as their childhood. "Oh I wish didn't invest so much time into chess in my childhood, the thing I'm most passionate about in my life, instead I wish had goof around with friends who most of them I will never see again after a few years." One thing I do not tolerate is factual ignorance. Divyanshu Kumar & Rahil Malhotra and others in the chat, you are wrong and should be ashamed at your disinterest in basic facts & world history. Fabiano Caruana was born in the United States. Abhi Mishra also was born in the United States. Abhimanyu's "heritage" is also American, he talks and acts like a regular American boy. You can say "Indian ancestry" if you want, which nevertheless is completely irrelevant as all Americans' parents or grandparents are originally from another country. The people who founded America are not even from America, the people who founded America were British immigrants who get fed up and overthrew the British Monarchy in America, drafting the US Constitution, the classiest document of freedom in the history of the world. Soon thereafter in the 1800s, German & French & Irish & Scandinavian immigrants followed, along with African immigrants (slaves), slavery being a part of our history that we don't look back on fondly, but which in the end we can now say we all love our black American brothers & sisters. And now in the 1900s & 2000s Indian & Chinese & Japanese immigrants abound in the United States. We are not "hyphenated-Americans," only people say that dumb shit to divide us. We are all equally...AMERICANS! :-) Abhimanyu Mishru, the young man was born in American, lived in America his entire life, talks and acts like all young American boys. The only thing "Indian" about him is "ancestry," not birthright, not heritage. That's why we are the best at everything. And that's why we surpassed all other thousands-year-old countries in only 250 years. :-) It took us only 250 years to surpass all the thousands-year-old countries. Most of these prodigies hit 2800 by 16 and 2801 by 40. They copy existing theory then top out once they hit its fatal flaws. He just crossed 2500 if anything he proves that the GM title has been terribly devalued. BTW Jorge Zamora was 2150 USCF at 11 and would have become world champion had he not chosen to raise a family.

You're way off in your statements. You need to look at the list of chess players who ever made it to 2800. The list is very short. And as far most of the prodigies hitting 2800 by 16 years of age it totally untrue. And being 2150 USCF at 11 is a great accomplishment, it doesn't compare to becoming a GM at 12 FIDE rating. And claiming Jorge would have become world champion is an extreme prediction based on the facts. Not saying it was impossible.

One thing I do not tolerate is factual ignorance. Kumar & Malhotra, and others in the chat, you are wrong and should be ashamed at your disinterest in basic facts & world history. @Vesyal The same reason that there are there 12 year old boys who are better than 50 year old men in chess. Don't you think the 50 year olds that have dedicated themselves to chess and have much greater experience should easily be grandmasters too? Hard work only carries you so far, you need to have that inborn talent as well

@@rll1236 the key is to match your interest, talents and your efforts, honestly and pragmatically.
