Ye so if youve watched the game with some level of attention its or even if you played a game yourself its really not that hard to visualize even ling variations. Its a bit harder to follow the evaluation part but still. Id say from 1700 on if ur payint attention you can follow what they are saying ur evaluation is just gonna be much worse. Grishuk is so immersed in the game that he seems to forget neither the interviewer nor the spectators (other than Nakamura and perhaps a few grandmasters watching) are with him anymore, just a few words into his post match review. I don't know why this video brings me so much joy as a casual fan. Maybe it's because you can see Hikaru's head bobbing as he follows along. And of course it's super impressive.

I can't hold a single position in my head, apart from book openings and endgames where there are very few pieces on the board, I've no idea how this is possible. Amazing stuff.

Nonsense. Most of players who are 2000+ can follow their game and can follow this conversation. It's nothing overly challenging. Playing on that level and comming up with these variations is one thing. But spectating and listening is not hard.
