Love the way Mishra starts the interview. Not all the fans want to know the engine lines either! But I love the idea of respecting all the players by not showing them the engine lines during the post game analysis. It's a chance to hear their thoughts. We can all check the engine any time we like. Ty for this great coverage! I have now become a big Mishra fan. Go Mishra!! Best of luck on getting to 2700 in the next 13 months. :)

What about using engine analysis is antithetical to being an authentic GM? It’s standard practice, Mishra explicitly states the only reason he doesn’t want the engine lines in the interview is because reviewing his games with the engine on his own is part of his training regime (he no doubt treats each position like a puzzle and attempts to find the lines). Indubitably this kid is a phenomenal talent and looks likely to perform very well in this championship, that’s no reason to cast aspersions on another young GM who is also brilliant but quite openly curious to see engine evaluation as soon as he can, and who is also playing an exciting brand of chess and, what’s that, o yeah, beat the young prodigy?

@@Corteum I don't disagree with any of that, but I'm replying to a post that literally said "I can guarantee that this kid will be World Champion."
