Abigail is a very likeable character actually , i really love the fact that she turned out to be more of an anti-heroine by the end of the movie , or at least a neutral character. I gues this is a leason that teache’s us that vampire’s are not really evil , they just need to eat in order to survive , and they like to hunt theyre prey because it’s part of their animal instinct , wild animal’s need to hunt.

Did you watch the movie? They talked about a lot of the stuff that Abigail did as "Valdez". It was definitely evil, like what she did to the witnesses who were going to testify against her father. It's not an anti-hero at all, it's just a monster who got exhausted after being outsmarted and outmaneuvered.

@@coldsoupwithsaltIm aware that she has done a lot of fucked up thing’s , but like you said , she killed them because they were going to testify against her father , she had a reason to kill them , not just for sport. And beside’s , if she really is evil than why did she sympathize with Joddy and let her go , evil people or thing’s cant feel empathy , Abigail clearly liked Joddy and respected her for wanting to be a better mother for her son. Abigail and her father have done bad thing’s but they mostly have just killed people who were a threat to them , i dont they have killed that manny innocent’s , just a few probably.

Weird switch to frank being the bad guy. The movie sort of forgets that the girl is a homicidal maniac who dances with decapitated corpses. It just sort of hopes you forget too

Frank was already established to be a monster early on as he showcases numerous times he's willing to hit a little girl and even presses a gun against her head, something Abigail calls him out on. "You were gonna beat me and torture me when you thought I was just a regular 12-year-old girl." Abigail even mentions how he's a cop that went undercover to apprehend criminals from her father's empire, and ultimately quit the force and abandoned his family because he liked the criminal lifestyle too much. So, he was already a bad guy to begin with. All of them are bad as they took a job that involved kidnapping for ransom, so no one exactly has the moral high ground, just some are worse than others, and Frank was the worst of all. Once he became a vampire, what reason would he have to hide it? Abigail kills people, but only those who directly wronged her father, some of which are also willing to kidnap her. She's not killing innocent people, so she isn't pure evil, but she makes a sadistic game out of killing criminals, so she's not good either, but she has the capacity for kindness. Since Joey helped her, she gave her a break and even defended her against her father who would have killed her. This isn't Abigail becoming good or her becoming best friends with Joey, this is just them forming a mutual respect for one another due to helping each other survive.

No, it doesn't make you try to forget. It's an alliance of convenience based on the circumstance of Frank becoming a problem. With Frank becoming a vampire and running rampant, Abigail lost full control of her game. After being too weakened to deal with him on her own after he ambushed and drained her, Abigail turned to Joey for help in getting rid of him in exchange for letting her leave the house alive.
