It was the 70's and I was a skinny 12 year old kid hanging out at our town's local roller rink, I had just purchased a bottle of orange soda from the concession stand but like an idiot I forgot to use the built in bottle cap opener on the counter to open my soft drink so I was clumsily making my way back to the stand to open it when this beautiful redheaded angel on skates rolled up to me, plucked the bottle from my hands and opened the bottle with her TEETH, took a long pull downing half of it in one go before handing it back to me, flashing me the most beautiful smile I had ever seen in my young life. Her name was Patricia Meyers, she was 15 years old, and this song was playing at the time this happened. I realized that she was The One and that we would be together for the rest of our lives. Well we came close, 3 wonderful children and 5 beautiful grandchildren before she was called home. She was my rainbow. 🌈❤❤❤

I think most of you all who replied to my comment misunderstood me. You shouldn't make yourself pretty or go to extremes for anyone or try to impress anyone but yourself. Do something that'll make you feel good, not anyone else - man or woman. The only reason I replied with "No woman should need validation from a man" is because the OP said we ALL do it for MEN, therefore speaking for all of us as if we are all insecure people who require validation to sustain and survive.

The way this video just perfectly represents the beauty in every existing women, no matter the skin colour, religion or ethnicity. It appreciates every women on this world and not leaving out any one. It sending out the message that all women are beautiful in the purest, most beautiful way. I’ve never heard a song that appreciates women without somehow sexualising them
@sunshineandstarlight4 жыл бұрын
It is very sweet. The video does even more justice. Truth. 🙂🌈
@tobiahds17964 жыл бұрын
Cin, what century are you living in? Like women don’t sexualise themselves, sexualising comes from the person who misinterprets what women wear or do, just to objectify them. Generally your opinions are very misogynistic as you should probably start educating yourself. And beauty is subjective, whether it is defined by physical traits, by actions or personality. I just thing that this song honours women of all race and colour, and it doesn’t only have to do with their looks but only by the fact that they’re women, who have great personalities and minds. It’s showing the beauty of a lady, which means that there is in every women beauty. Don’t be so close-minded, it doesn’t work these days.
@tobiahds17964 жыл бұрын
Nicholas Rangel, exactly. In so many countries, sexualising of women has become almost a part of it’s society. And what’s worst is that, when often women are seen wearing wearing clothes that show a little more skin than the public likes, and are commented on so sexually, the women are the one to blame for enticing the shameless men. And so often you see in the large screen or tv shows, women being used as comic relief, female characters that contribute nothing into the plot, just there to show how the male lead is an absolute perv. What’s sad is that even after all this change happened and people are starting to be openminded, these faults still exist, and frankly I don’t think they will disappear anytime soon. Anyways, I just thought it was very refreshing to see a song that morally appreciates the beauty of a women without mentioning her ass, her face, her lips or any physical trait, and the fact that this is a song from the 60s.
