Synthesizer V Studio 1.11 supports ARA - I got Live 11 standard recently (on sale) and more recently Synthesizer V; before I was on StudioOne. There are many features of Live that makes it great for coming up with ideas, but now I really want ARA support!

I would def be nice to have ARA in ableton, I was hoping for it in 12 :( I use Studio one for vocal layering, harms, etc, hopping between DAWs is a pain sometimes.

Studio One will remain my go to for any vocal production. I’d love to just stay in one DAW for everything. But those days are not upon us just yet. Lol

Yeah same here thank God for Studio One.

Oh man I was hoping so bad that ARA would be on the docket but apparently we're gonna have to keep waiting 😞 as for the other comments, they obviously don't record vocals very much. Using Melodyne or Repitch is a serious pain in the ass without it.

It's ridiculous. I still have to use a proper DAW in parallel. I can't believe they are so behind in the basics all the time.

I am a user but yes, I've made up my mind, I want to move to Studio One full-time, currently using it only for mixing. Definitely not paying for this 12 update.

It was the only new feature I wanted, but I have Studio One and Cubase, so I guess I keep DAW hopping and stay on version 11.

Well it would be nice. And i think melodyne users would love it, at least i would. Such a pain to use melodyne sometimes. I'm also questioning if melodyne could do something to be more compatible with ableton instead of the other way around. I think that is normally the right way round, plugin makers make plugins for DAW's, not the other way around. But I know that ARA is a little special here so yea. it'll probably never happen.

I'm SCREAMING. It's ridiculous that they wouldn't implement it. Makes the daw worthless for vocal post production, and has me jumping ship to Studio One

It’s the main reason I’ve not used Live exclusively. Almost zero love for people who record actual audio. Lol

Yeah I've been a hobby producer for a while. Still no clue what ARA is. Must be a club or something.
@joshuabutlermusic10 ай бұрын
It's one of those things, if you never used it before... you probably never will need it. lol
@musicproductionbrauns259411 ай бұрын
Yeah it's a shame I need it badly for melodyne 😭 but the version 12 disappointed me anyway , does feel like a minor update and not a major one. Don't wanna pay 150 to just update it.... They could be more generous to their long term customer ....

🤣 Something you won’t have to worry about if you stick with Ableton. Unfortunately. ☹️

Exactly. Some silly people act as if music wasn't made without ARA. Well even in the digital domain countless music across all genres were made without ARA. Even decades before ARA was invented. So if you need ARA switch to a DAW that has it. Or simply get a life.

L take. I love Ableton but ARA 2 would make Vocal process way faster specially for things like Vocalign. Do you how easy it is in Pro Tools? I can get 20 vocal layers aligned in less than 30 seconds. Ableton? don't get me started. Yes Music was made without ARA in Ableton but guess how? They went to Pro Tools or other daws for vocal editing in the vast majority of cases, which is dumb... I wanna just do it in Ableton.

For those bitching about lack of ARA integration, you forget what live is meant to be about... A relatively lightweight DAW. If you want stem separation, just get Serato Sample.
@iamjiroe11 ай бұрын
It's not just that... it's something as simple as instant Vocalign... or instant Melodyne. Something extremely basic in 2023 that is used in every session and song and ableton is lacking.

nobody cares about ARA

if you track vocals and release a song you care about it cause it makes the entire vocal editing process 1000 times faster.

@@iamjiroe Ableton is made for producers. It's freaking good at it. I know dozens of producers. All of them are amazed by ableton and the new midi features in 12. Not a single one told me "bro, there's no ARA, it sucks". I'm also a Steinberg certified trainer. Cubase is amazing for recording / mixing. Use the tools that are good for what you want to do and stop complaining.

@@rman4539 or maybe listen to actual Ableton users like me? I’m a music producer and I know what I’m talking about. So many good features in ableton 12 of course, but not addressing ARA is a big con that ableton has to solve. And nobody is saying it sucks… many people are just pointing out that ableton is behind on this which slows down a very important aspect of music production
