Hey thanks. I got mine last year and after a while I'm totally sure that they are awesome. My mixers and masters improved incredible. So what you are saying in your video I totally agree and I do recommend this serious gear.

I'm testing them right now. hand-by-hand with Sennheiser HD490 and Audeze MM-100. holy moly.. how good they are! Sennhs and Audeze doing good but not so good)) I didn't found from the start important information - they really sensitive to the placement. that's because Neumann decided to make this angled drive and if you place them wrong you gonna hear lack of high mids. yeap.

Dude they are my favorite headphones. I bought a balanced cable for them. Dude at Fog City (Patrick) told me that I can just throw one of their balanced cables on them an go, he reassured me because he owned the NDH 20s and 30s. I love them for just listening to music. Beck Sea Change, Rise and Fall Of Ziggy Stardust, Slayer Seasons Of The Abyss, Radiohead In Rainbows was the first tunes I put them to the test an they all sounded amazing. I'll never get rid of them. I'd grab these headphones, my esps, my Mesa amps, an maybe my GF if my house were to burn down

I absolutely LOVE mine. I recommend them to my friends all the time. It's a big investment for headphones but well worth it IMO.

@@joshuabutlermusic I own the NDH 20s, 30s, and a modified pair of HD 600s. I bought this copper disc that fits over the back of the driver of the 600s, yanked out the foam under the ear cup an replaced it with nylon, and yanked out the foam disc behind the driver, they don't get quite as much low end as the NDH 30s but it's a lot closer. Best 30 bucks I spent. It opens them up, slightly widens the sound stage smooths out the highs a little an leaves the mids alone. Push comes to shove an I'll never get rid of the Neumann headphones I have though.

From what you've told me the headphones you have will sound better than most speakers that cost WAY more money. SOLID $30 upgrade. lol

Returned my 30s and went with the 20s instead - producing on the go. Having family in the house. Its better to have closed backs. 30s great if you got a constant quiet room. I have made better decisions with the 20s

Hey! I've tried the 1770s myself and I loved the sound of it. I thought that maybe the 1990s would sound similar but no, they are way brighter, as I could see from other reviews and sound tests. After a few searches, I found myself watching a lot of videos about the NDH 30 and EVERYONE say it is AMAZING! My main concern is if the bass will be deep enough the way I like (I produce eletronic music, pop, etc). Because I use a pair of LP6 with a HS8 (only for sub freqs) and this setup has a fat low end and still sound kinda flat (with room correction and room treatment). Can you tell me if this will be a problem for me? Thanks so much

Hello, great review! Tell me which sound card do you use with these headphones? I have the same headphones and I use them with an Audient 14 mk2 and I feel like they sound incorrect from this card I'm thinking of switching to rme bf or ucx2 or motu mk5! What do you think about it?

I’m currently using a cheap interface (Presonus revelator 24) BUT I just reviewed the RME babyface pro FS and the Apollo twin x. The higher end interfaces absolutely help push them and to my ears provide a more accurate sound. I’m a fan of the RME interfaces overall. I’m about to be testing another one here shortly. 😁

Neumann headphone division share the same designers and engineers as the Sennheiser professional division. Sennheiser owns Neumann. In terms of ACCURACY at Studio Reference Level, nothing beats the Sennheiser HD400 Pro. They are the best pair of headphones on the market regardless of price IMHO. The only drawback (if you can call it that) is that they are brutally honest/transparent and they don't do well with a lot of ambient noise due to being open backs.

Tbh i bought ndh20 bc of the right side cable insert…. Since i play guitar with headphone amp most of the time outside. Wanna try ndh30 but well…. Kinda afraid the open back will bother people around me and the bleed from outside will affect my practice time outside

What do you think of the Senhisser HD 490 Pro? I know DMS feels the HD 650 are better but that was after he said that the HD 560S are the best when he did a review for those, so I cant help but believe he is often influenced by monetary gain. As why would he say that the HD 560S are the best, legit said the HD 560S are the headphones to buy they are the new standard and he was blown away with how they sounded. He stuck with this opinion for a couple months and than he went back to his usual nonsense about the HD 650 being the best headphones and how suddenly they sound better than the HD 560S. Which I found very strange as the HD 490 Pro are without a doubt far superior to the HD 650. The HD 650 have almost no soundstage, no imaging and are very dark and veiled. Lacking in detail and in 90% of the cases the HD 560S sound better overall as far as carlity goes. And now you have the HD 490 Pro which blow the HD 650 out of the water. They pretty much sunk his battleship as soon as they dropped which are his beloved HD 650. I just have a hard time trusting the guy and as far as every other reviewer goes, they will take a much better aporch. They will often tell people the Pros and Cons and let them decide for themself. DMS seems to spend more time explaining why the HD 650s are better. And you see this over and over and over. Im thinking he gets a portion of the 6XX sales or something due to the insanely large backstock that exists of these things. He flip flops on his choices far too often but one thing you can be sure of is that even if he tells you that something is awesome and better than the 6XX he is always pushing, he will always end up going back on it. And this is not because the HD 650 are good. They are good in the sense that they are worth the money when you buy the 6XX. But with the HD 490 Pro being the better sounding much more comfortable and lighter headphones. He will talk about his Omega headphones and how he wanted to make them as light as possible and how that was such a big factor. But look at the 490 Pro, they are light af and yet he instead says that the 560S are better but no no ofc he says but dont buy those, buy more of the 6XX on drop that I get a cut of. Or at least that is the way it sounds to me. I could be totally wrong and he may just have horrible hearing and not understand the meaning of soundstage or image or bass or timbre. Because honestly the sound of the HD 490 Pros are very good and being that the HD 490 Pros improved on all of the HD 650 shortcomings and not only that but far surpassed the sound of the HD 650 you would have thought that he would have been all over them. And even more so because he said that the 560S are the ones, they are it, they are the best. And the HD 490 Pro sound similar to them in certain ways but also not quite as bright, they are a tad warmer but not too dark like the HD 650 and the bass is amazing, as well as the mids and highs. The detail I mean, I could go on and on. As my mind is just blown by his very strange take on things and his constant flip flopping. I was a big fan of his, but he just cant stick to his story and is always going back on what he says. To the point that it got old very fast. anyway its like 5am I need to get some sleep, been working all night. Hopefully this makes at least some sense. Take it ez bruh.

He said alot of BS and you're probably right about the 6XX, overhyped AF. You'll be better trying them yourself.
