what do you mean? press Z to zoom in on a clip (midi or audio) and use drag at the top to zoom the timeline.

You can zoom in. You have to hover your mouse over the display bar on the top until you get a magnifying glass icon pop up. Them hold your mouse down and you can zoom freely

You can also use CTRL+Mouse wheel to zoom in and out or Shift+Mouse wheel to go left or right. Lots of ways to move around
