I have a question. How can I copy and paste clips only in the arrangement window? I used to be able to just move the mouse over one of the tracks on the right hand side, copy and paste. - I have to go to SESSION, copy the clip, go back to the arrangement again and then paste it so far, this 'twelve' is totally unsuitable. CHAOS on the screen

He mentioned very few plugins. The wavetable can be replaced by Vital (free), there are amazing distortion plugins out there etc. If you just want those, maybe rather buy one of them.

Pay more attention. Major Ableton upgrades happen around now every two years. Dec 2025 for Ableton 13 news.

Anti climactic update, but more of a « let’s update the workflow a bit ». Quite frankly, Ableton lost me a while back. Upgrades are way too pricey for what I consider being minor updates. Even FL Studio managed to get ahead. Dunno what’s happening at Ableton’s, but the past 5 years have been a bit weird. Although, to be fair, they concentrate on having a reliable software throughout.

It;s a good point but I am glad they are improving workflow. I like working fast so this update is pleasing me. I am also excited about ROAR but would like to test it more before comitting to it! :)

I find this so funny, even I as a cubase user got excited for a moment. But really, most of us do not benefit from a new Ableton version at all, we'd probably be better off investing that money into monitors or room treatment. Then again, I'd assume most guys around here just use cracked Ableton, so i suppose it's a free upgrade.
