Awwww homework 😭... I hate homework. Wait... I forgot I love making music 🎶 ☺️ And this corse is teaching me a lot. Thank you, sir. As for the homework, I'd say it's implied. For my homework, I repeat the lesson several times on my own, then try to learn more piano theory. I'd say keep doing what you're doing. Teachers like you aren't common on u- tube. Trofey

This video is PURE GOLD. I’ve watched hours of Ableton ‘beginner’ videos where the presenter doesn’t start by TELLing and SHOWing you clearly how to get a sound out of the app. You doing so here in the language of someone watching with no experience already makes this video worth a thousand times more. On top of being a gifted musician, you're a wonderful teacher. Massive thanks. You’ve just gained a subscriber for life.

I just obtained a mac and ableton after wanting both for years. I can't believe how easy you made everything. It's digestible, easy going, no pressure. You didn't use producer vocabulary, but still got the point across so clear and concise. Thank you for not over-doing it and keeping it all simple. This is literally the blueprint for all beginners everywhere. Building blocks.

Even though this isn't the most current version of Ableton I still chose you to learn from because you're teaching style is actually geared for beginners. You're a natural teacher and explain this really well. It's hard to find good audio people who teach this way. Thank you so much!

This is what I needed. I bought Live 11 suite just before my student discount ran out and I doubt I've even scratched the surface of its capabilities. One of my friends is a music producer and works on scores for big movies, but now transitioned to hiphop and I challenged him to use standard plugins only and he was surprised how good most base stuff (glue compressor, eq eight, hybrid reverb etc.) actually are and how great most built in sounds are. I mean, at $700 you'd kinda expect that.

Very, very well done! Usually these online tutorials involve the "teacher" doing a bunch of moves with his hands while talking and the student is left in the dark as to why all those moves are not explained. None of that goes on here - this is straight forward and quite clear. You are an excellent teacher! Thank you. - Michael.

I am not sure why I looked at your video but I am glad I did. This is an example of where going slow is actually moving faster. You're slow and methodical about your explanations. For example, exampling how Ableton sometimes wraps and guesses the BMP and how it can never be a decimal. How to unwarp and rewarp it to allow the correct BMP for your sample can move along with the projects BPM. I've watched so many videos in which this was never explained. Because of this, I subscribed. Thank you.

I purchased ableton few weeks ago and seriously I couldn't understand a thing because I'm used to see different kind of daws. So when I was searching on the youtube how to use it I came across a lot of people explaining it. I tried to watch them but they are not explaining everything like you do. Your way of explaining things is so easy to understand and now I feel less hopeless and feel like it was not a bad choice to purchase ableton at all. I just simply don't understand yet and people like you make me understand it better. Thank you for this video. I appreciate it and gonna keep learning from your videos.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT A BEGINNER TUTORIAL SHOULD BE. My brain hits stonewalls when I see a button or an option that I can't make sense of and then the instructor also decides to completely skim over it. And my brain hear what they're saying and goes back to, 'but what does this button do' and then I'm stuck at step 3 forever. The fact that he pointed out to things and said we don't have to worry about it FOR NOW, is the best technique I've ever seen.
