I just got mine yesterday and you answered my question about stretching samples. This is the perfect mobile groove box sampler because of the sounds and the ease of use. I have a SP404MK2 it was a challenge at first but like anything else if you really want it you'll figure it out. And I did but I like being able to just load kits and instruments with the option of adding sounds as needed after the initial thought has run it's course. A lot of influencers have been bagging on the Ableton Move without even having it just watching video's but they bought the K02 with only 64mb. 🤔 I'm glad I got mine. The Brother Low Heat said they've sold out in Europe. When people wake up we will have the same problem. Excellent video my Brother have a great day!😎

This is the first video of the Move that has helped me understand what this is for. Simplifying Ableton to reduce overwhelm and the zoomed in view of the instrument really helps. Thanks.

In my mind…i approach four tracks like great albums from the past…it requires more musical ingenuity to pull it off …the mere fact you can add four drum racks is actually more than you need to make a decent composition. Just requires a bit of thought

you can do the same qwith whole bunch of midi contreller for the same price, not worth it. push is in another level.

Isn't it the cool thing that you don't necessarily need a laptop since it's a standalone device? To me that's the most interesting thing.. thinking about getting one 🤩

I can definitely recommend it to a friend just trying to record guitar to a beat, which might be a larger demographic than many of the naysayers

@@djkanyon sometimes the opposite is true. Sometimes it's because more people are watching and they have high expectations. People probably already forgot what the Seqtrak is for those who know what it is.

FEATURE REQUEST #1: Setting to disable internal speakers; right now it seems the only way to do so is to plugin a pair of headphones

I think you create the scenes and automation but didn’t see anything about arranging. Though you can record audio out realtime

With the Push standalone being just a beast to carry about, can you transfer projects from the Move to the Push? Or would you need a computer for that? Its a crying shame Ableton haven't implemented an 'audio capture' mode on a 20 minute loop, that one feature would make this a must-have.

Where are you getting either of those MPC’s new for $450? One+ is $700 and Live goes for $1300.

I think the only real problem with this device is the price. If this was 250$ it would be an excellent value. Maybe we should start a petition to drop the price! It’s not a dud of a device

there's no bad gear, just wrong price tag. For 250 it's perfect. For 500 it's a damn shame.

Interesting, because I think it's for someone who doesn't do music yet but is interested in toying with it on something simple, immediate and reasonably powerful. And they can build from there.

Can you set (per step) and send out MIDI CC and other MIDI messages on the out port? And, more importantly, can you route the external synth to the audio in and then through the selected MIDI track internal fx and back out to the master... or is the audio input only for sampling? The Novation boxes allow for audio routing this way.

You can read in the downloadable manual that MIDI out is only for current track. The line-in is for sampling, not for real-time input. It’s not an audio looper either.

Pretty sure you need Ableton 12.1 and/or Note 1.2 for compatibility, but I assume it comes with a 12.1 lite license

Reverb guys or gals, this is wandering from detail to detail. How about on overview: what does it actually DO, what can you create with it broadly, and HOW? And then sketch out a table of contents for the viewer, a scaffold you can then fill in with details. . . Don't assume everyone is intimately familiar with a groove box.

Their iPad app seems better, limitation of 4 tracks is why I will not be buying it

People need to understand that it is not a 4 track only device per se, you can have independent control over each pad of a drum rack, you can sequence it independently, add effects, mute it or event play chromatically, etc. and that can count as a track, so it means that if you have a drum rack on each main track, in reality you have 16x4=64 stereo sample tracks. On a elektron device like a Digitakt, you only have 8

@@grvcvltTrue, and it's great that this is possible. However, not everyone wants to work exclusively with samples. I'd like to have more synth tracks to work with. After you have assigned the first track to a drum rack, there are only three synth tracks left.

⁠@@grvcvltWith the grid sample mode on the Digitakt allowing for 64 chops or“sounds” per sample pad, you’d have 64x16 sample tracks. But you’d still get 16 full stereo sample tracks which is 4x more than the Move.

@grvcvlt, I assume you’re a Move user? How are you liking in the couple of months since your comment? Sounds pretty good if you want to use it to hammer out some drum tracks from samples. Seems like it would be good to send into AUM and pair it with a synth or melodic samples from Koala or something similar.
