On a serious note, while the template is absolutely great, I did also want to comment on your setup; it may look like just another high-tech studio setup, but for the keen-eyed observer (well, I may be getting some of these wrong), there are some great workflow tips to pick up in your gear selection and arrangement. Sure, the AKAI APC40 is a good usual suspect for such setup, but I like how you have the Shuttle for transport control, then a healthy dose of knobs on the MIDIMIX, looks like a shortcut labeled keyboard (probably you already have all that memorized anyway, though), and the Arturia BeatStep which gives you more pads AND rotary encoders. It is very evident how you have these arranged for even more rapid and efficient workflow. The whole lineup just makes sense, and you are clearly not set on any one vendor, you go with whatever works and what feels the most intuitive for you.

great template and awesome tutorial! thanks for sharing. On the idea of dropping back to zero after the infamous "hands-in-the-air" moment, you can make different snapshots of audio-effekt rack macro settings and trigger them, and those triggers can be midi-mapped. So you can have different settings on the push of a button. For example, total low-kill or high-kill or in your case getting everything back to zero (this way you dont need to adjust the encoders again) Keep up the good work. Blessings from Costa Rica

try to hook up reason and ableton and use fx and instruments playing it from ableton..reason 12 has some nice and simple stuff....

You will find the compressor inserted on the “Key” channel. Just copy it from there to any channel you want sidechain on and make sure it is getting it s sidechain signal from the key channel.

Just bought the template. Since I am relative new to Ableton I have a question. I am only using Ableton for hobbyist usage so no live performances. But, as I understand experimenting with different instruments and samples in done in the Compose tracks, right? Then if you decide on a specific chord progression or so (done in midi track), you record that into the Resample track and then transfer it to one of the 8 main tracks? But what if you want to do automating - are you then doing it in the compose track? And what about doing an entire track - do you ever bring it to the Arrangement View?

just to understand it right : all the sounds are actually audios (like for instance if you used "Diva" for your pads, even if we dont have Diva, we can hear the synth as an audio you packed inside the package ? thx !

Hi Laurent, that s right everything in the Rapid Flow template is just audio. I have to point out I put the 5 broken down tracks in there as demo files, of course you can use them, but the idea is you creat your own audio loops in the template ☺️👍🏽🚥

This sends a kick that is not actually being routed anywhere where we can hear it. It s so you can aidechain things in a break for example, when the kick is not playing..like a hidden kkck

The tracks contained in the template are for demo purposes only. The idea is you add your own basses harmonies etc. knowing myself the demos will be in C D or E 🤣

@@RapidFlow_Shop I do not get it... I bought your rapid flow template...But have not tested it yet... If in track two you give basses in audio, those should be in a key, if everything is not made in the same key .. How can you mix tracks?

@@Amatteus the audio loops in the template are there for demo purposes. We expect people to write their own loops in any key they like. Once you understand the settings in the channels and master we expect people to erase our loops and make it your own with your ideas. Hope that makes sense?

why is there a 'super channel' and a 'Mastering Channel' in the newest version of template? The mastering channel now redundant

That s so you can use the Super Channel to process a sound you are working on (just solo that sound) and once you have it to your liking you can open a new audio track and use the super channel as input and resample without double mastering. When the mastering was also on the super channel it would end up being mastered twice, once in the resampling, once in the next trip through the super channel and mastering channel. Hope that makes sense...

Hahahah while this hasn't happened to me personally, I have seen it happen more than once. That s why tried to make things as simple as possible and prevent any glitches to happen by for example routing the Master fader to a different function. No good on a stage to have a masterfader :S
