I was wrong. Live 12 is amazing! As I am exploring more I'm seeing that nothing has been downgraded it's actually been upgraded. I'm very happy that so much attention and care has been put in to Ableton Live.

Live 12 is a great update overall..love it! But the granulator is actually a step back for me personally. I found the second version waay better to use and even the ui is much better. The lack of the FM in the third version is in itself a huge miss and the cpu seems to be waaay to high. Maybe that's just a personal feeling. Would be amazing if you'd add the FM back to it and work on its cpu performance. If not..then obviously the second version is more than enough for my needs :) Apart from that thanks for the great update and tutorials!

Fantastic update. But why will it not save the sample with the project if we capture? Seems like an oversight.

I hope Granulator 4 will allow continuous real time audio input like Sugarbytes Graindad, with transient detection so I can hit my snare any time and have it start being granulated (and even scan time stretched) immediately. That would be awesome!

Let me see if I understood correctly: if you capture a new sample and use the disk icon on the top right corner to save the device preset it will NOT save the sample automatically? you need to manually use the in device save button to save the sample?

Why YOUR M4L device font is the same as the Live font? My M4L device font is thin as hell and hard to read. I thought this was normal for all, but now I know it's not.

Is spray control still in granulator 3? I don't find it I like that it looks clean, but I miss some stuff from granulator 2🙃

This is controlled by the variation parameter, robert henke got back to me on that very quickly by mail.

@@calvinlanz7046 thank you for the quick response played a bit with the variation, but it feels kinda limited with gran 2 you could get up to 60 seconds spray and in gran 3 it's only 2 seconds if I haven't overlooked another parameter🤔

ABLETON ctrl+space doesn't work on multiclip midi it was not working from 11 they hadn't still fixed it on 12 1.they should had implemented slots feature permanently on live 12 it would make it cleaner where we can open and close plugins directly on mixer. 2. 3rd party plugins while loading them should had loaded with minimized xy pad 3. shortcut to open and close a plugin so that we don't have to go to small wrench icon (ctrl+alt+P only works for single specific plugin) 4. shortcut to hide devices Panel i think on live 11 they had shortcut for it (ctrl+alt+L) which doesn't work on 12 5 Dry and wet knob for plugins 6. feature where you hold ctrl/command while dragging loops or samples to get it unwarped on the timeline

I have a question, when I downloaded and upgraded from 11 to Ableton 12, can I uninstall 11??? I did log a ticket with Ableton asking this, but they are just SO slow, their customer service is rubbish...Can you confirm???

Tried Live and went back to Logic Pro. It's just too overly complicated and expensive. In Logic it's free to add a midi modulator before an instrument.

What's going on with the warp and session view? The inconveniences of sampling in push are never fixed. Even at the sequencer level, everything is not very convenient. It's actually easier to switch to fruits, ableton doesn't hear its customers. There is no point upgrading to version 12, the problems have not been fixed and apparently will not be fixed "ever" (the keyword here is "never").

The keyboard is not fun ( no maschine integration), the last vst was massive X. i just said if we wait the company we will get older fast. Mpc Key 37 its tactil, Nektar ARuba can control ableton, studio one etc, not like maschine, its not normal. Serato is better for the slice than maschine etc , i mean nothing is perfect
