Simon not telling Marcus about the fishes shows he's giving up on Marcus. He knows it won't be the same. So no use in recreating. I also think Marcus only changed his mind when he thought of Simon and Wille being there on Valentines. He tried to keep him from the ball but when he learned Simon has to sing he joined, asking them to leave right after though. You can tell how Simon feels constantly uncomfortable and not himself with him around.

I love how there are just so many parallels between the two seasons. From Marcus asking for the names of his fishes, to Simon wanting to watch a horror movie with Marcus because him and Wilhelm watched a horror movie just before their first kiss, even to the way Wilhelm kissed Felice in bed (removing the pillow and everything). This show is just too good

The thing is Lisa the director said he wasn't jealous because Wilhelm and Felice kissed, he was mad at the fact they are celebrating a straight kiss because its Wilhelm with a girl but when Wilhelm kisses Simon and people found out they did not celebrate they judge him instead which made him mad and leave the room but I also feel like deep down he was jealous lol

Seeing August waiting for Sara just broke my heart for him. I know everyone loves to hate him and would love to love Sara, but it's the brilliance of this show. It manages to twist things up so easily, by not going black/white with its characters

And now Sara... I can see how and why he is falling back into old habits and its just so sad. Great character arc.

I totally agree on your judgement with Sara. She is all about trust, but she betrays people who care about her constantly. Her brother by not telling him about August. Searching Felice phone behind her back and telling August about it. Dumping August for her membership of the girl gang. She's the most distrustful in this whole show. August at least hesitated to use the video in season 1, and he only used the information about who gave the other student the blame when he felt hurt and isolated again, but Sara uses every information she gets to her own benefit.

You should definitely watch Simon's song with the translated lyrics because the song is about Wille, even though officially it's about the school. This episode was wild, with angst and tension through the roof but such a wonderful ending.

I didn't see the song's subtitles. If you saw them you would have screamed and sobbed. I think there are two settings for the subs: English, and another, English CC (closed caption) which shows song lyrics. You can search YT for Simon's song with English lyrics. There are two song versions, the shorter one used in the series that ends with Hillerski will live on. The longer release ( over 2 min 23 sec) has two more verses that will break your heart.

Two things - I really belive that Willes intention was to not make that statement (deny that it was him in the video), but his mom talked him into it on the way there in the car! Also, I love that Wille was waiting for Simon to make the first move in the kissing scene! 😍🥰❤️

And his mom knew that she would have to talk Wilhelm into it by using Erik's legacy as Crown Prince to guilt trip him into making the statement, that's why she came to pick him up even though they were supposed to meet at the interview. Wilhelm told Simon that he would tell his mom that he wants to be with Simon and that he doesn't want to make a statement and that's exactly what he told her in the car. Wilhelm never told Simon that though, so Simon only knows the end result, not what lead to it.

Head writer Lisa Ambjörn just said in a written interview that Wilhelm was forced to lie. Quote: "For Wilhelm, the realization throughout the 2nd season has been that he and Simon's relationship was never the problem. The problem was that he was forced to lie." "When Simon gets hurt by Sara - the person that is supposed to know him best, and who he thinks has the same view on life as him, but it turns out doesn't, he's left to wonder who he can trust. The answer to that question is Wilhelm."

Okay but can we talk about how strong Wille was at the ball! God just imagine thinking that the person you still love doesn't love you anymore? Heartbreak! And then actually being brave enough to let the other person know that it's okay and that you'll let them go.... Plus thinking that they love someone else and saying that their new partner seems nice ugh! God I feel so bad for Wille. Also the way Simon looked at him, you can just see him processing everything... 😟 I actually paused it after he told Simon that because I was in shock that a 16 year old boy, who never really had any love or happiness in his life, had the strength to accept it and say it out loud. Other grown adults can't even handle knowing the person they love is with someone else, let alone accept it and say someone nice about it.... And the way that they both couldn't stop smiling during their kiss and Wille afterwards, omg stop!

I honestly love the lunch scene because I feel like Simon needed that little push of jealousy to make him realize that he's not ready for Wilhelm to move on. This is my favorite episode by far, the acting is just on another level. Wilhelm's pain after deciding that he has to let Simon go, and how you can just see Simon's heart breaking when Wilhelm tells him that. I'm absolutely living for your reaction to everything that happens between them at the ball, I was exactly the same 😂 All of that just happened so perfectly, and I also love that you dislike Marcus as much as I do hahaha. I agree! I think Simon needed to see that Wille is moving on, too. That he's not there waiting anymore, trying to get him back. Both scenes, the lunch and the ball scene, they probably made it clear to Simon that he doesn't want that. Its the one thing to choose against something (for now), but to be ripped off the choice is a whole different thing.

I definitely see it as the reaction from the boys, the ”celebration”, was the reason to Simon getting so mad that he had to leave the situation. But when they talk about it in the dressing room later on he also says that he ”didn’t like finding out about it like that”, which I think sounds more like him being jealous of what happened between Wilhelm and Felice, rather than still only being mad about the actual situation at lunch.

The way they request August to reshape his whole future, at least the next 10 years, DESPITE being 18 (he's a senior, right?), only shows how the queen was lying to Wille about how they would talk about what he wants once he's 18. She's not giving a fuck about August's plans. He has to give up all his privacy, his social media, his future, just to be plan B. There is no way Wille would ever be free in his choices.

OMG... this episode...it makes me feel speechless because the acting is so mesmorising..Wilhelm crying putting the wig on to that music..Edvin said in an interview that it is one of his favourite scenes as Wilhelm realised what being a king is along with the responsibilities..that is why he cried...then the kiss..this show is the best..Edvin, Omar and Malte are driving us all crazy. I adore Wilhelm so much and my heart aches for him since the very first episode..he is so lonely. .and needs Simon so much😪😪

I saw like 6 reactions on this episode and I love how we all have the same reactions. I was mad and sad, I couldn´t breathe and in the end, I was smiling and so happy. It was such a rollercoaster but I love how Wille did in this episode, he really thought Simon is moving on, and speaking with Marcus cost all of his energy and he was so devastated, also when I saw Simon´s reaction, it looked like he really didn´t think that would come and he was surprised and heartbroken because he thought he can lose him so I was so happy when he went chasing for him and kissed him to show him he definitely didn´t move on and they still have a chance. I don´t like Marcus, he is manipulative and absolutely doesn´t respect that Simon doesn´t want something serious (we know he wants it but with Wille and not him) but I kinda feel sorry for him because Simon is using him and does it on purpose which is not good. When Simon didn´t tell Marcus the names of the fishes, I knew the show will have a happy ending, I just knew it.

Felice has grown on me this season, I didn't liked her in season 1 but her friendship with Wilhelm is so cute ^^I don't like August but him preparing his room for her and being so disappointed after receiving the text, I felt for him. A little bit. Then he became a dick again lol. Now, I need to promote another show, WARRIOR NUN. Adam, I understand August wanted to change or at least he was trying to change his behaviour. He took off the pills from the garbage when Jan-Olof talked with him about his ten years future schedule. Getting his desire (being a Crown succesor) is more complicated than he anticipated and I think he is going to see it very soon. Queen Kristina broke his goods intentions with her talk about succesion. Everybody are taking bad decisions this season: Wilhelm, Simon, Sara, August and Kristina. The only one being a dear is Felice.
