Heard from my friends on the ship. I so wish I was on there too. It sounds like so much mutual love between crew and passengers to be on board. Those waterspouts/"tornados" were really cool. I forgot about the ship on the AOS but the rehearsal refreshed my memory. Loved the video!

It’s called a Water Spout when it’s over water.

We've seen them on a couple of cruises and yes, when over water, they aren't called tornadoes, but they can come ashore and then they turn into one.

If they don't actually touch the water, they're not even called water spouts - just "scud clouds". Scud clouds form a point that makes them look just like a tornado.

Love watching your videos! Curious why you do floor rehearsals-seems like the timing would be completely different compared to being on ice. Super cool to watch it-thanks for letting us see your behind the scenes!

Probably because they have to have a clean sheet of ice for the show. There maybe wasn't enough time to get on the ice for corrections and prepare the ice again too. It's actually OK running through things on the floor. You have all the counts to the music just like a dancer, and you can "mark out" where you should be. I did shows on plastic ice as well as real ice, and working on plastic is a bit like just performing/dancing on stage, as skating skills can be quite limited on it. If you're quick at learning choreography (which you need to be in shows) it's easy to run through on the floor. HTH! 💖💖

Jordan, I found your channel and have been watching it. I worked as a Medical Officer (RN) on Princess Cruises for a while. Due to health concerns, I could not continue or be able to return to work on a cruise ship. I missed the crew areas, Do they call the main walk the M1 on Royal Caribbean, we did on PCL. Another question, how do you still do your jumps and twists, etc while the ice is moving/swaying under you. I know I took care of dancers that had twisted their ankles when the floor would not be where it should have been due to swells. just wondering what it's like for an ice skater.
