Like old kitchen cabinets that could be reused in the garage. At least they reused the stone. The problem is that it takes extra time, effort and money to bother with the demolition. I once saw real rosewood cabinets from a fancy conference room thrown into a dumpster. The contractor said it killed him to do so, but he needed to stay within the cost estimate and time constraints of the build-out of the office space for the next tenant. He was busy with lots of work and couldn't take time to do what made sense.

I really loved this! Sad dingy kitchen now bright, cheery, space to actually sit or work at a counter top. Loved the single kitchen light that matched the big one. But I always find it weird, HUGE DOUBLE sink but people need a dishwasher?! 🤷♀️😂 I wash veggies, wash up etc in one little sink. A double sink when there's a dishwasher wastes So much counter top. To me that's just incredibly weird. Loved how he did the front garden, not my taste but it's very appealing to many people being almost zero maintenance. Great upgrade but shame nothing was done with the bathroom. But the front hall is the first thing you see so that's crucial to getting people into the house before literally judging once the front door is opened.
@joane.35333 жыл бұрын
I think that huge double sink was very awkward indeed. It is a tiny kitchen, not some huge gourmet space. I also think that cabinets were very cheap. The placement of that microwave is very awkward and @20:07 that awkward open space above the fridge and the unfinished tops of the cabinets really look cheap. Horrible design and construction. The little breakfast bar is such a wasted space too. I know the heater is under that window and counter top... I would have removed the big window, placed it over the sink and the removed the dinky cabinets that held that microwave. I would have build functional cabinets that held the microwave - better placement and the whole "breakfast bar" idea could have been turned into a functional baking and prepping space that the kitchen lacks. The guy is an idiot for not cleaning up the yard himself - what a dweeb.

Properly renovating, I would have moved the radiator, made window narrower, and put fridge in corner where that silly counter extension was. Remove chalkboard paint. Then you could put floor to ceiling narrower upper cabinets along opposite wall, sticking out only 12 inches. The room would have more storage, more visual room, and better traffic flow. A vertical Radiator could be installed on wall where they had put chalkboard paint. I would have switched both window sizes; wider by sink and dishwasher to see in backyard, and the other window make it half the size facing the neighbour’s house. Then a standard fridge would fit fine.
