Man, you are a genius! I'm defiantly going to think about remolding my jib head now after seeing this. Great job!

Very clever thinking. Not many people can do this.

Thanks. The wires are very tight. I just think cable won't give you that smoothness. I will soon start working on it again now that the weather is nice.

Thanks. If you can use bearings instead of the wheels I used, you will get much smoother movements. Good luck.

@dumplynn7 Thanks all your tips. The "constant head lever via cable" is already a part of the jib. I always know that bearings would be much better than bushings. Bearings do cost a bit which I can't afford at this point. In terms of the pulley ratio; I will definitely try that, but with bearings instead. Again, thanks for the tips.

How much do you think total all the parts cost, and how much was that tripod thats supporting that?
@moviemaster0000013 жыл бұрын
How much would you ask for making only the jib head with all those wires and with the control?
@icreativestudio14 жыл бұрын
I think there is no others way to get smooth rotation unless u use an electronic motor with volt-an control for speed controller.

@icreativestudio maybe you're right, but I'm not giving up just yet. Working on a slightly different design. Thanks though.

I would say somewhere between three and four hundred. I didn't really keep track since I was constantly changing parts. The Manfrotto 028B tripod is $264 at B&H as of 3/30/2012

@videofxnoosa No prob. It still needs a lot of work.

it is smooth, i mean it doesnt swing thats the most important

Use bearings instead of those plastic wheels, and come up with some kind of drag system.

Brother can u say me the measurements of the head and what is that black thing on top of the head
@topbunkvideo7 жыл бұрын
Sorry Joseph, I destroyed that head years ago. I realize it's much easier to just buy one since they are so cheap these days. Proaim Sr. Pan Tilt head is a really good one. Good luck!

@moviemaster00000 I will have to finish working on it before I can know. When I am satisfied with it's performance, I will upload a video and then we go from there. All the best for the New Year.

Hey how ypu doing brotha, I would like to know a parts list for this pan and tilt head so that I can make one for myself and the cost of the parts. Please email me back and let me know thank you!
@topbunkvideo13 жыл бұрын
@moviemaster00000 It's not nearly as smooth as I want it to be, but I will keep working on it.
