After converting to Judaism 28 years ago, and working in many interfaith settings, I'm very impressed with the non-judgmental, welcoming, affirming, joyous atmosphere at JYW. I used to feel very uncomfortable at some synagogues because of the palpable hostility toward interfaith marriages -- sometimes even after conversion! I longed for the sincere celebration of diversity. I feel at home at my Reform synagogue, but it is 10x more beautifully diverse at JYW. At JYW, everyone is "chaverim".
