Watching videos like yours has really reminded me of my dreams of having a big family. My daughter is an only child and it hurts my heart that she wants a brother or sister and I can't give her one. I started to do my research on the foster care system in GA and I hope to become a foster mother in hopes of adopting. Keep me in your prayers.

I just started watching your videos and I have to say you are amazing! I'm a biological mom of two Biracial girls and trying to navigate and learn their different hair types and how to care for it has been a never ending journey for sure! I'm actually newly sober (just over 5 months now) and starting to get back into the routine of being with and taking care of my girls since they were placed with my mom temporarily while I was unable to take care of them. I'm also fairly newly disabled physically (I'm now in a wheelchair) so it's a whole new learning curve all around. Anyway, the point to my ramblings is that you are absolutely a role model and I truly appreciate your videos. Please keep it up. Your children hit the family lottery when they got placed with you.

Thank you, first of all, for answering the question about if one of your kiddos identified as GLBTQ, because after hearing the question, it occurred to me how rarely that topic comes up in videos like this (about parenting in general, but also from a straight Christian parent). And when I say "rarely," it's more like "never," so just the fact that it was asked and you answered it is...I'm not sure of the right word for once. It was something I didn't know I needed to hear in a family video, and that, plus your emphatic answer that you'd love your kid regardless of who they love, or their gender - especially when your kids are all still fairly young and you probably haven't had to deal with them going on dates yet! - was so good to hear. Maybe other families who vlog think similarly but haven't said it out loud...I don't know. But it makes me so happy to hear parents thinking about that topic well before the dating age, and being supportive of their child no matter what. It's an experience I never had, and partly why I ended up in a grad program that covers those topics and more, so hopefully kiddos today have a better, more positive, and more loving experience showing the world who they are. It's easy to see you adore your kids, and I'm just really glad that would not ever change regardless of whom they love.

My son has been going to a charter school every since the 5th grade & nows he's in the 11th. B/c he had IEP for his behavior, a nearby charter school expanded to the next county & I thought that school for middle school was the best choice b/c I felt both him & the school can learn each other. My son was diagnosed w/ a few letters & sending to a school 8 miles away worked out considering the sister school was in walking distance. The downfall of going to a school that far due to his OCD was transportation so now that he's at the high school at the main school he won't even take the bus to school which it's actually quicker to walk.
