The problem isn't the Kranvagns performance. Well, in the long run it is. The problem is that this style of vehicle signifies the current meta. Corridor maps, tank turrets without weakspots and armor models inviting to fire premium ammo. A good Kranvagn nerf is a nerf where they add good weakspots to it, same goes for literally any tier 10 tank at the moment. Gameplay is too boring when you know a 15v15 tier X game is gonna end up in some way with sitting in a single location firing at literal pixels on your screen for weakpoints.

1 thing to note about the 3 day stats for the Kran, Most of the really good players that boost the stats of the OP tanks have move on to the next tank, they have moved to the AMX M4 54 which is why you see its win rate in the 52% range, the AMX is now crazy good. Its gun is just next level. Gone from bottom of the list to the Top.

@@justmgm No, he just put it in a way the sounded like the requirements went up only because people were stat padding with it, while another explanation could be that people who think ahead knew that it is the last time they would be able to play with it in that state. Kran nerf was known since the end of June so all the stat padders had a whole summer to enjoy themselves with it. The increase in the last days is not likely caused by such people.

Yet EBR's are still zigzagging on ice and mud without losing traction. Still making 90* turns, jumping 30 feet rolling always landing on wheels and racing away at 70 kph backwards. While shooting you causing 500 damage. Also the 279e has a 57% win rate, WG could work on that one?

WOT nerfs the ridgeline god-levelness of the Kran and then introduces a bunch of new, god-level hull-down tanks with the new Italian TDs... The nerf had nothing to do with gameplay and instead just shifted the meta to making people buy the Vipera.

So far accuracy per game is down by 25%. Its ok if you fight literaly in 10m distance but at 150m a maus lower plate is almost impossible to hit. Its the important shots that the kran misses. The gun handling was average now it horrible.

Having any tank, even the 279e is not overpowered. You can counter any tank with teamplay and by being where they are not...tanks all hull down? Pull back and reposition to where they are not....then crush that flank and crossfire them or catch base.

WTF nerfed the kranvagn so cry babe pay to win player’s won’t be crying about how they couldn’t kill it because they lack skill and bought a $80 tank. This seems to be a big problem in world of tanks, they nerf a tank so you have to buy one to compete with other pay to win tanks or specialty tank that people get , then later get nerf so you have to buy an other one, if you work or pay for something and it’s your is it not illegal change it with out your consent. It belongs to you you earned it, and by earning it it would be consider a type of payment for the tank. You just cannot change a person personal in game property to sell more tanks there most be a law against it. Yeah I’m pissed.

@@randomshitpost8477 i unironically believe the XM1 prototypes could work in the game the XM1 from GM has around 200mm against kinetic shells everywhere on the front and around 250-300 against chemical on the hull, with around 500 against chemical on the turret face. Coupled with the definitely-not-L7 105mm it could probably work as a tier 9 HT or T10 MT reward tank.

Add a cupola like the Emil 1951 on one side of the turret. Reduce the armor below the gun on the oscillating part of the turret. There I've solved the problem.

Think we ALL agree that strategically placed weakpoints make for better gameplay. It shouldn't always just be lower plate or commander cupola as your only options to pen. Knowledge of a tanks distinct weakpoints should be a big part of gameplay Super heavies should have a weak point on the rear too - so that even stock tier 8s can pen if they flank correctly

Most T10 superheavies have fairly weak rear. The only tanks that really have a decently armored hull rear plate are Maus, Type 5 and E100 which range from 150-190 effective. IS-7, AMX M4 54, 279, Chieftain, 60TP, 705A and 277 range from 100 to 40mm effective on the hull rear plate. If the flanking maneuver really manages to catch the ass of the T10 heavies, even most stock guns penetrate the weak areas easily. T10 tanks can utilize this knowledge by doing straight up revolting things to their behinds with HE, especially if they have HESH.

This will hopefully, as is so far evident, bring the Kran down a bit to make other tanks a bit more competitive. Nerf is kinda bullshit. Nerfing accuracy and mobility is just making it less fun playing the tank. On the other side the players meeting the Kran on the field are having the same issue with not penetrating the turret because of the lack of weakspots. Playing Kran now is less fun. Playing against it is still no fun. Solution? Give him a weakspot below the gun when lifting the gun up - so it has a weakspot when the gun is lifted up, and if it is lifted down, you can shoot cupola.

the nerf completely destroied the tank, it is unplayable now, hate the way they do it, it just is not fun to play like this, having a slow, inaccurate tank is just not fun, the same was with the 430u. They should just add some weakspots to it but ofc, it would cost some money to put a new model into the game so it is easier to make a tank compleatly shitty and painful to play, and all of the sudden they put an inpenetrable hulldown tank into the game, WTF where is the logic??? and they put even more hulldown position at the maps.

Wargaming had said they won't nerf premium or reward vehicles; and although the katter is earned in ranked, it can only be used in random battles. They're fine the way they are, the 279e has a crazy questline to get and I respect the players that can get through it, its not all grinding.

@@Jim_n_the_wilds no definetly not, think about how insignificant 2% is actually, If you have 180 mm of armor for an example, you'll have 183,6 mm of armor after this buff or if your gun stabilisation is 0.17 after the buff it will be about 0.167. 2% buff won't be enough to make bad tanks better so that it will actually affect its winrate.

Risking the major player base for the few wallet warriors is counterintuitive. So yeah, they might get those whales to purchase op vehicles anways, but prospective customers will give up in frustration even before thinking of buying a tank. They need money, sure. But earning money at the cost of ruining the game for quite literally everyone? ...... For ex: Playing at tier 8 is the most painful thing in the game. Cause you always get the most shit premium tanks at any matchamking from -2 to +2. Tier 10, you get rekt, tier 8 , you still get rekt. Tier 6,7,8 matchmaking, well, you MIGHT stand a chance honestly if your team isnt noob. Hope you get the point. Would be better if such broken tanks are matched up primarliy against other broken tanks at least 1 in each team.

Before watching this video I was disappointed in Kran, so then I decided to give it a chance (had no idea it was nerfed, yeah newbie here 🤫). Random que sent me to big battle, I managed to destroy 3 tanks and win. Note: My crew is very unskilled, driver has no skills yet and the only good thing is that Milla Jovovich is commander 😂 i think I solved it's seed problem with experimental equioment 🔧⚙️ now it's my favorite heavy tank 💪

the whole game is broken beyond repair and falling more since it's makers doesn't give a shit about the players. The MM doesn't work at all anymore cause every statpadder/walletwarrior/bot now is spamming premium..... It is unplayable pretty much every random battle, 30+ games today and i won 12. I am not by any means saying i am the best player, no no, i am an avarage+ player. This game has gotten out of controll. Can WG for once stop focusing on bringing tanks and sales. And instead focus on gamedeveloping?! There is now so much that needs to be fixed...

I wish it to be as pathetic as the Blitz version of Kran . Mediocre speed Turret turns slower that feels like a damaged turret, same with hull traverse speed (felt like dead driver) Powecrept to the point of a decent amount of Tank destroyers in tier 10 can pen its turret using gold rounds and Japanese tank destroyer Ho-ri pens the turret like its a complete broadside of an E100 Is actually an autoreloader here, versatile gun but with the price of having painful 2.2k dpm

It was nerfed because the CW "Cheefy's" players were crying in Clan Wars their PoS had a real counter. All is good though that same group is already crying about the SuperConq so that ones next. Top clans have destroyed this game and now the only doors avail to any others wit hthe Kran and the Conq will soon be closed removing any competitive chance for newer clans or those without reward tanks.

Top speed and reload are probably fair. But Gun handling is in my opinion always a very very bad way to balance tanks. When you reduce the accuracy and gun handling you are doing in fact nothing but increasing the RNG factor on each shot and thus make the tank less skill based. When a tank performs so good that it needs a nerf the real reasons should be addressed and not more randomness thrown on. I think the perfect nerf would have been a weakspot on krans turret. Maybe under the gun or something. Period. Nothing more. Krans real strength was never only his absurdly strong turret but it's ability to be in the key positions dealing immense amount of damage in a short period of time and pulling back / pushing in as the situation demands. The turret was in my opinion just the cherry on top. Take the turret and all the players who are only staying low skill at the ridge line and bouncing everyone will have a shitty day. But if you know what you are doing you can still have a - a lit less of course - chieftain replacement for most players who want to compete. What we got with the nerf is a tank that still can be efficiently played with low skill on the ridge line but with a greatly reduced potential. I was hoping for high potential, high skill, but nah. Now chief is once again truly alone at the top of the food chain. I don't like that. You may and that's fine. Just my observation

WG's nerfs make no sense. All they will ever touch is stats and never address fundamental issues with the tanks. Cant actually make any adjustments to the armor or model cause that would interrupt the hulldown meta. All this nerf does imo is ignore any actual nuanced way of making the kran both fun and less OP, like for example how about making the flat spot under its gun a weak point, then it has to use its gun depression to outsmart enemy players. Encourages thoughtful gameplay and rewards good players. Instead of just cutting the stats and making the tank more annoying to play.

Idk about this nerfe... It didnt touch the real problem. Nobody cares about the speed or gunhandling... Something way more imortant was the weakpoint on the turret. Without a fcking weakspots the problem is not solved. Now u made it slower and with worse gun. So much like a Minotauro. Good job. Weakspot like in the gun if u raise it+reload nerf like that would have been a good start. I dont get what they are tryna do. What are those tests for if u dont use data out of it... I really don't like the accuracy nerf, all it feels like that non premiums scrubs have to shill out 20k for the food consumable to make it at least somewhat accurate, not to mention all the super premium equipments... Just meh, needed a bigger dpm nerf or something else imo.

I feel like the Kranvagn nerf doesn't really address why the tank is a problem, that being the ridiculous turret. It's still going to get to its hull down position, it's still going to be hard to dig it out of the hull down position. Something tells me that while the crane wagon isn't going to be pulling the monster numbers, it's still going to be a popular pick on the battlefield, at least until something more stupidly hull-down appears.

I only have the tier nine and it sucks to get here and after the hundreds of hour climb they nerf a tank that I a 2000 rank player was about to get. SO yeah can I have my Xp back :(

So QB plays one game since the nerf, has a good game in it and then proceeds to say its still a very good tank. Am I the only one thinking its not a very good representation of how good\bad it is? this nerf doesn't address the core issue of the tank. The turret is still impenetrable and it retained 12 degrees of gun depression which means it's still boring and basically impossible to deal with

why would a player sits infront of a kranvagn on a ridge line, i would flank it from its aide or behind then have it on fire since kranvagn players dont use fire extinguisher

What they should have done is to give it a smaller more accurate gun (smaller than 400 damage) with the same DPM but a bigger weakspot on the cupola. That way the Kran would still have the ability to clip people but would have to expose its weakspot for longer.

Effect of nerf had little to no effect. Turret weak spots. Look at tanks with them vs those without them. Tanks with a targetable weak spot vs those without. Tanks without are meta. Those that have one are not.
