My son was actually adopted without my knowledge, or consent upon birth. I ended up getting my rights back to my son, and won sole custody of him. I am only twenty years old and I’m just now having the chance to raise my son who is now going to be one year and four months old when I get him in October 22’. Thank you for this video!

Will definitely continue watching them as she grows up. I think the 2 things I'm most surprised about is 1- how much she sleeps! And 2- how wonky it is to actually pick up a newborn. We are about 1 week away from our daughter joining us. I am definitely excited to be able to able to bond with my daughter and establish a great friendship. My dad was not involved when I was growing up. For some reason, this has had me wondering if "I have what it takes". I think that is possibly from me simply not having those father/son memories. I am hoping that my wife and I can give our daughter a happy and healthy home as well as all the tools to succeed in this world.

Dude. I have the same issue. I'm 22 and for the past 3-4 years I've highly doubted myself and wondered if I have what it takes to succeed and be a man in this current society. I grew up without my maternal dad up until about 11 years old, having my mother's boyfriends to be a kind of dad figure, some did better than others. I then proceeded to meet him, get to know him a bit and then moved in. roughly 9 years later im 22, married and recently found out we're expecting. My point is I'm glad to see there's someone who would understand me. I hope i bring you similar peace

great video. Empathy is neutral though, the word you are looking for is compassion. that is when you say "yea that sucks." People mess this up ALL the time so not a big deal.

According to the definitions, the differences are compassion involves the desire to help. I'm not seeing that with saying "yeah that sucks". I'm open to learning just not able to confirm what you mentioned.

@timothybond42422 жыл бұрын
I’ve found out recently that me and my wife are expecting and these tips are great, but I have a problem with comprehending my wife’s rants/issues. How do you recommend understanding when your partner is asking for advice or wanting a listener? I have a problem with trying to find a solution for everything and it makes her upset that I’m trying to explain what the issue was or I acknowledge her but don’t give her a solution when she wanted one? It’s really frustrating and I would like help.
