Dauphin Island is the best kept secret in Alabama, but lord is it expensive to actually live there! Ono is super nice too. You’re very lucky! My kids have never been to Dauphin Island but I plan on taking them this summer.

Quite a large pool, swim 10 laps of that in the morning and you will have good exercise for the day.

Don't ever remove the water, it'll cave in. That's why I put a retaining wall around my pool. I sunk it 48" and put a deck around it. 14:56

Definitely went beyond the 24-27” burial recommendations. I like the looks better this way but I imagine there’s a reason why they have specific install requirements.

As someone in the pool industry, you aren’t supposed to use any backfill around the pool whatsoever. You will have a rusted pool in a few years. The second reason is when you need a new liner, the walls could fall in when you drain the pool from the pressure of the backfill

For Kayak, they recommend not backfilling, but if you do to use foam or plastic covered plywood.

Has the dirt up against the pool been okay? We have ours being put on a slight slope so one side will be below the soil line. Debating on just putting the soil back up against it.

Them walls will rust out about 8-10 years compared to 20. We usually replace 2 or 3 of these installs a year.

Hi, we just put in 21 foot Doughboy pool and I didn't think you could put them in the ground over a foot deep. I would like to go about 2 feet also to help in wind storms which we get a lot. Did anyone mention that to you? Thanks for the video.

I had the same pool installed last year semi inground and love it but the installers I used unfortunately were not good and the bottom of our pool has lots of bumps. Is your pool bottom smooth?

Ours has some small bumps as well. We were told to wait 72 hours for getting in it. We actually waited a week and we still left foot prints.

Man with all that heavy equipment and space you coulda done dug you a pond. Made a swimming and fishing hole all in one. Corse the skeeters and such woulda laid eggs off in it.
