Consider also that you mentioned religion, but the Sabbath is relationship, it shows that you prioritize God's over your own worldly common pursuits on His day and by resting you help others to rest as well. It's not bad at all, in fact if we followed your logic to It's conclusion then the other 9 commandments are also "religion".

Brother, I love you, Please hear my plea to you. Our Father's name is NOT “god” or “the lord” It is YAHWEH. And the Mesiah’s name is NOT “jesus” It is YAHSHUA I think you know the argument. And it starts with the 3rd Command, Det. 5:11 Thou shalt not take the name of YAHWEH thy Elohim in vain: for YAHWEH will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. This is what the word vain really means, in Hebrew as well as English; (you can skip #1) 1: having or showing undue or excessive pride in one's appearance or achievements: conceited 2: marked by futility or ineffectualness: unsuccessful, useless (vain efforts to escape) 3: having no real value: idle, worthless (vain pretensions) 4 archaic: foolish, silly All this is driven home with the almost 7000 times that YHWH placed his name in the Holy Scriptures. The name that was removed a couple thousand years later by men, Jewish men, who decided that the name of the Father, declared all those times in scripture, was too holy to speak, unless you were a priest of course. That sounds a lot like the nonsense we hear from so many today, on so many subjects. That kind of nonsense is always about men assuming power for themselves. Is Sabbath a holy day? Are not all days holy and are not Christians called to live holy on all the days? Only thing is that we can dedicate Sabbath for godly work than for the secular work. Thus it will help us detoxify ourselves of the world not that particular day is holy and other days unholy. Thus it is more like a day consecrated for the Lord rather than observe it as a tradition.

Dream # 1 of March 2022 Saturday night 3/12/2022. I was staying at a hotel in Tyler , TX with my dad. My confirmation dream of being sealed by the Holy Spirit In my dream “Me and my dad were walking down a street and it was dark and gloomy outside. We ended up at a parking garage type condo area and as we entered, there were prostitutes on every corner and just standing around everywhere. My dad couldn’t resist so he went upstairs with one of the girls. I stayed downstairs on the street and suddenly I had this Holy Spirit strength like I never had before come upon me. One of the girls started to walk toward me but only took a few steps when she stopped, hung her head down and backed up by one of the other girls. She whispered to the other girl “why can I go up to him?” The other girl said “oh yeah, he’s one of those guys. You won’t be able to get to him. As a matter of fact, we are not allowed too.” And as I turned I could hear all the girls say the same thing and I could hear their thoughts saying “We’re not allowed to go up to him.” The dream ended and I woke up. I was so excited when I woke up. Praising God all day with tears in my eyes. Please pray for my dad that he overcomes the many addictions. Your brother in Jesus Christ- Channion Burnett

@@Joanne_uk sorry, I was sharing a dream. It was a dream sent from the Lord of a future event. Yes, a person can think they have the Holy Spirit but don’t. Many will arrive at heavens gates saying “Lord Lord, didn’t I prophesy in your name and do many miracles?” “Away from me who work iniquity!” The Testimony of Howard Pittman is a great example. He was a preacher who preached Jesus for 30 yrs. He died suddenly and when he arrived at heavens gates, the Lord told him “Away from me! Your works are an abomination!” When the Holy Spirit(the helper) dwells in you, with your will power can overcome the sins of the flesh. I have overcome several addictions with the power of the Holy Spirit in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. All glory goes to Jesus . Amen!
