Definitely needs a buff imo. For camos, I started with tactical rifles, so I had a lot of play time with the ABR. I played the beta, and I feel it was at a much better state at that time. I feel like I can shoot at someone’s back, but they have enough time to turn around and kill me before I can kill them. Keeping that all in mind combined with the fact it’s a semi-auto burst, AND headshots are useless, it’s damage and range could be much better

I think only the headshot multiplier needs a buff from 1.1x to 1.33x, so that it can get a one burst kill. But I hate the abr so much ever since I've gotten the Peacekeeper, its literally the Peacekeepers counter.

Laser sight 2 on a burst fire long range weapon?? It was obviously designed to be used at range otherwise it wouldn't have a long range optic on it by default.

Guns dont play their roles in this game. The rampart is the best smg, the koshka is the best shotgun, the gks is a beast assault rifle.... all the guns in this game dont play like they normally should. Snipers beat smgs at point blank, the icr beats snipers at range, the rampart beats shotguns at point blank... this games broke.

One underappreciated thing about the ABR is it's insane mobility for a Tactical Rifle. Stock II is a really good attachment and Laser Sight I and II give it respectable hip fire spreads. Slap laser sight 2 on it and use skulker to crouch walk everywhere and the hip fire spread becomes so small you can hipfire people down at up to 30 metres easy. I use laser sight and stock together with Skulker in hardcore a lot and as long as you practice proper centering and preaiming you can dominate. The only problem you'll encounter is at range against armored targets where not having access to fmj hurts.

Weird gun. It seems like they want you to use it close-range with laser sight 2 and the operator mod, but like, why? I can kill someone just as fast with any SMG within that range with far more mobility, and the GKS is super viable at range so it's hard to make a case for the ABR having superior versatility or something. You can even turn the GKS into a burst fire weapon with the quad shot.

Yeah I agree I think they looked at the 2 strongest guns in the beta and dumpstered them, while leaving the truly op guns such as the Maddox/Vapr and Saug which were very good in the beta basically untouched and even still to this day. The mx9 and ABR are just as awful on console in core and hardcore (relatively) as they probably are on pc. They are by far the worst weapons in the game. I’d put the ABR as worst, then Mx9. I’m pretty positive the Strife has a faster or similar kill time to these guns, except with a way faster sprint out time and mobility, so it might actually be even better

Got the tactical rifles diamond and I gotta say this gun has no place in the meta. It fills no niche at all and excelled at nothing just like the KN. I think it needs a headshot buff to allow a one burst with 3 headshots or double it’s range. I want it to be good because I love the look of the gun because it reminds me of the AUG.

I like this with laser sight, it's easy to land two bursts from the hip at close ranges. If you run gung-ho and stay close to the fight it can cut down on the time to kill. Plus, they buffed the laser sight accuracy

It's my favorite gun and I loved the operator mod before they nerfed it. It was helping you a lot before but now it doesn't help your time to kill beyond the default gun. I want them to make the mod better and reduce the burst delay quicker.

2nd favorite gun. Operator mod is super useful. Even in 1v1 it helps cause you can't misfire it and gets better if others jump into the fight. Extended mags was super necessary for me and I dropped stock for it

I play the ABR wth Stock, Reflex and Silencer. Perks: Scavenger, Ghost and Dead Silence and i use Stimshot. That is all i need, cause even with Silencer, the Abr is a 2Burstkillweapon, no matter Range or Armor. It is a very consistent weapon, that is the strengh.

I think burst fire weapons should always have some situation, regardless of how unlikely, where you can get a one burst. Whether it's hitting every bullet in the head, having an attachment like pentaburst or high caliber, or even something as niche as hitting every bullet in the head within extremely short range.

ABR reminds me of the Pre-Patch M16 from MW3 when it used to be super underwhelming compared to the death cannon that was the Type-95(I think that's what it was). If you miss a single burst, at any point in time, you just die. I guess I kind of like it? But I'm also like, why I can't I one burst this person breathing in my face? Pretty sure the Pre-Patch M16 from MW3 could do that and that thing shot Marshmallows. Just giving the possibility of one bursting with it makes the ABR so much better.

A Failed Mercenary Treyarch burst rifles have always sucked. They have never had a single burst rifle that could kill in 2 body shots. Type 95, MSBS, and post patch M16 are how burst rifles should be

I've been working with this gun exclusively, trying to get diamond on tactical rifles. I've come to learn how to play it, and deal with its imperfections. But being honest.... it's not as good as the DMR was when I was playing with it. I believe that if you take the time to learn a gun and work with it, you become better with its type. I haven't touched anything Auto yet, and I've seen so many people yet pray and spray kills.. it kinda makes me mad at them. Lol

I actually like the standard scope on the ABR, which is why I like to run it. a good optic means one less point used on a reflex or something. That sounds like a silly thing to commend it for but that's one less point I need to spend. Other than that yeah it feels average. But I like that it feels consistent at every range.

What I think should have happened with the abr is that high caliber should have been added. Make headshots worth 1.5x headshots and made it a 3 shot or something like that if you land 2 or maybe even all of them headshots

I will agree that it's prior state was OverPowered but only by a little bit in all honesty because you had to use the Operator Mod and with it, it didn't go Nucking Futz until you were 3rd Burst in. So it was good for clearing a stacked up team but not much else but honestly, how often does a team stack up like that anyway? It's suuuper rare for that situation to happen. Like you said, giving it a 1-Burst Potential would be ideal. Either that or restore a portion of it's Operator Mod's power and make it expensive if you want to make the weapon strong (Not OP)

If they changed the headshot multiplier to 1.5x for this it would be a 3 shot kill if 2 shots hit the head @ 20m. Past 20m it probably wouldn't be beneficial to go for headshots cause if 2 shots miss by going for the head out of either burst then it'll take 3 bursts. or make the damage profile 47-36 w/ 1.1x headshot multiplier.

Diamonds done on the Tactical rifles, so used this gun a lot yesterday, you will get your ass handed to ya by good players, however if you somehow take people of guard, it's a beast. I was coming behind a team on Icebreaker, standing in the middle shooting at my team, the gun just Baram Baram Baram, am am am am!! The operator mod is a crucial thing on this gun, don't listen to people saying anything else. Unless you wanna get owned.

Having used this gun for the dark matter grind, I can honestly say the OP mod for this gun makes a world of difference, borderline competitive. Without it, the burst delay is just too slow to compete with the maddox etc. Definitely on the worse end of the spectrum, However not completely useless like the RK7 (I know the RK7 is a secondary, but the thing 2 shots at any range further than pissing distance in hardcore, even after the buff. It's crap)

I think it is a good mode but honestly some people don’t realize this but BR modes aren’t made for everyone, contrary to popular belief. It’s ok to not want to play it, I have hardly played it all since BR modes are not my thing. I never look forward to playing them or have any drive to grind them out, whether it’s blackout or fortnite. I think if they introduced a mode that was like Chaos from fortnite, or just made a REALLY small map with the same amount of people it would attract me. But BR’s are too big and too slow for me.

Well last time i used it was 2 weeks ago(play on a friends ps4, dont know if the update nerfed it) and is still a good gun for me. Lots of kills from various range, smgs against me couldnt do a thing. Most of the time is a 2 burst kill, the recoils is not bad. Ill have tu use it again and see, but for me is a great, the only weapon I like using for most of the maps.

I agree, it's mediocre and needs a buff. Either do what you said and let it kill people in 3 shots out to 20 meters if you hit 1-2 shots to the head, or give it a very small range (like 5 meters, less than shotgun range) of higher base damage where it kills in 3 shots by default.

I need 7 long shots and 1 more blood thirsty for gold, f**king hate this gun normally i go HC Dom for headshots only but i had to do all other challenges in HC as well as it's the only time it's half viable unless you get long range maps and play extremely slow in core hardcore is the wave with this gun.
