I was born in Mexico City, and still living there... At early sixties had the privilege of being a neighbor of the Laboriel family...Both families were lower middle class, and lived at "La colonia Roma" quarter... MOst famous musicians were Ella Laboriel (singer) and Jhonny Laboriel who made it big at the time at singing rock'n'roll standards in Spanish... Nonetheless Abraham was learning the bass guitar... Johnny made it big with his rock rebels (Rebeldes del Rock), and the he fell as some singers do until he hit rock bottom for a couple of decades... Abe became the monster session player he is... Jhonny had a rehab and came back (he just died - RIP -), and now I feeel like a deja vu by testifying Abe´'son is Paul McCartney's drummer, and there is another cousin playing guitar... The only shame is millions of mexicans do not even know the story beyond Jhonny's and Ella's... What to do? Abe is just a monster, and his junior is up there already... I love the tale... It's a bit like the fact that so many people (zillions) do not even know Carlos Santana is mexican too... Well if you wanna hear Jhonny Laboriel singing rock'n'roll standards at late fifties, you can always listen to this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rYOxk3d3lLZ7ebM ... love to every one, and thanks God for the talented Laboriel family... A mexican old guy...

I absolutely LOVE this! All of it...their collaboration is so amazing! Is it technically flawless? No. But it is so powerful and rhythmic and full of love. And to see the comments! From people from so many cultures and backgrounds. Music truly does bring us together, brings love to one another.

I have now spent 12 and 6/7 of an hour listening to our man Abraham in a loop. A truly life changing experience. In all honesty I have only experienced a feeling like this one other time. It's something in my bones really, the vibration of my bone marrow at every stroke of the ivories or pluck of the string. Again, truly life changing. Now onto the closest I have come to this type of feeling. It was About 17 and 5/9's of a year ago. At that time I was somewhere deep in the mountains of Tajikistan. I was in search of the most virgin powder on earth. After many days of struggling through this rough terrain I had the opportunity to speak with an elder from one of the secluded villages in the mountain range. After spending what I would call 34 and 3/4's of minute with this well lived individual I got that feeling. That feeling within your bones. Your body daring itself to rip apart. It was simply this mans presence that did so. I have yet do discover the true cause of these tremors but I am hopeful Mr. Abrahams music can shed some light on the situation. Again thank you Mr. Abraham for sharing this wonderful master piece. I look forward to viewing your future works!

thank U so much for sharing this here --- I'm a multi-instrumentalist myself (though not far as good as these marvellous guys :-D ) - drums being my main instrument, piano and bass my "secondaries", and I very much enjoy watching this performance of father & sons, great great musicians, and I got to know Jr. through his playing for Sir Paul McCartney :-) - I wish them well and many more years of playing together and with others
