Thank you for the educational video. Were would you position Venev Diamond B2-01 and OSB?
@TSPROFSharpening3 ай бұрын
B2-01 would stand after standard diamonds and before MS-1, OSB will leave more fine finish than MS-1 and would be before Alpha.

TSPROF Diamond Stones do not require water or oil, but does it help them work better? Thank you for video.

I use the Venev Centaur stones. I have both sets the cbn and diamond both are resin bonded and i like oil better that water or soap and water. The oil seems to trap the metal dust and it keeps the dust from building up in the stone causing it to not cut very well.

@@TheGuidedSharpeningGuide Makes sense and I appreciate the info. I'm using the stone set that came with the Kadet until I can afford better ones. Maybe I'll try them with oil.

@@trapperjohn8508 i really like the Venev Centaur stones. Ive tried alot of different stones and always go back to the Venev Centaur stones. The whole set is 3 double sided diamond stones and you can get them from Gritomatic for $150. The Venev Centaur resin bonded cbn stones are about $60 each and they are 3 of them to a set but you have to get them individually but they are well worth it. For the price of lets say the Hapstone premium cbn stone set you can buy both the diamond and cbn stone venev sets for the price of one set of Hapstone premium cbn stones.

Dimond plates are intended work dry, application of oil or water will not grant you speed or finer finish.

where does the NANIWA Chosera stones come into this?
@TheGuidedSharpeningGuide3 ай бұрын
They are ok for softer steel and kitchen knives but once you get into the super steels 61hrc and above you can still get them sharp but it will take forever and you will go through stones super fast. I learned that the hard way. Lol

It's better not to put these stones into this list because they work best when they have suspension on the top surface. When the working surface is directed downwards the suspension runs down and the stone is not effective anymore.
