Nice video thanks. What is the best way to remove the diamond paste from the knife after polishing? Thanks in advance. 🙏🏻

I wonder how well this will clamp thin flexible Japanese kitchen knives
@LichTheUnpleasant185 күн бұрын
Tested with different knives. Everything works great, yet in case the knife is extra large you may want to use additional clamp to provide a better support for the blade. And don't forget - no pressure.

Will there be a similar system for the Kadet Pro in the future?
@achimgeist518512 күн бұрын
The Kadet Pro has the precise adjustment as standard. With the Kadet without Pro, an upgrade is not possible in my opinion, as the arm + sliding system would have to be replaced, which would practically be like a complete Kadet Pro.
@TheSharpeningGuide11 күн бұрын
@ i have a Kadet Pro. It would be more for a better thickness compensator in combination with the Axicube.

Do you need to calibrate the other way I seen you did a video on tinkering with screws and angle cube for horizontal and vertical calibration is that necessary?

Looking forward to the same addition for Kadet 1st edition ;-)

Please ts prof, review this video, advice what can be done, i bought your top of the line hunter and now i have to always tighten bolt that always gets loose. Tightening it too hard caused movements to be locked and difficult to move rod holder, tightening it just right, only lasts 1 knife and sometimes less kzbin.info/www/bejne/hITWn3qNa9Zkbq8si=sojMToe9_dB3o6MU

Do you still do this with the new ones ? Mine came with the angle gauge you clamp on one side then use the angle cube on the rod? Do i still need to calibrate it this way to?

Could we get more pictures with the finer grits? I always found the finer stones of any bonded diamond or cbn stones always added scratches at the end ruining the edge.

I own one of these and withing 1 month of opening it (not having used it yet) there was rust in the eyelet the rod goes through, so much so the rod could not be removed without damaging the hinge.. This shocked me a bit and I did not get a response from chat on TSPROF when I asked how that happened and what could be done to prevent it?
@wades62327 күн бұрын
These things that use only 4x1 stones or whatever kind of suck if you already have stones that youd want to use. It would be nice if there were actually options for something like that but everything is basically based of the same stuff

I know i was gonna get pioneer or Kadet till I realized when I buy axicube im close to the KO3. It might be overkill but I’ll never have to worry about sharpening anything ever again. Might as well go big 😊

@ that the fun part. With the Axicube and a knife mat, I’m still $210 under the K03. I’m definitely going to upgrade to the K03 later, though, but until them imma stick with my guns and mod out my Kadet

Great video! Love the series. Keep them coming. I just bought the K03 Pro. It’s so much better than what I’ve been using for the past 5 years. I will be buying the scissor attachment tonight during the Black Friday sale. An instruction video on using that attachment would be very helpful. It looks like there will be a learning curve. I couldn’t be happier with the K03! My wife doesn’t like it. She doesn’t see much of me since I got it. I’m spending a lot of time at my sharpening bench! 😂😂

I believe you stated that you raised the angle of the stone @5:01 did you increase it 0.1? and when you went to 20/14 you went back to 20 degrees, can you explain that.
@DmitryShmakov-xe9vbАй бұрын
Simple) we shown the result of sharpening twice. Each time we reach the last sone we have to increase the angle a bit to make shure that abrasive stone will process the cutting edge, not just a bevel. And also we shown how the microbevel looks though microscope. After switching to 20/14 the angle of 20 degrees was set to show you a visible difference in microbevel and the cutting edge. Otherwise you would see abrasive marks with different size that could confuse you about the final result.
