Looks like a great trip. Thanks for the review. Been waiting for a decent 1000cc 4 cylinder sports tourer for years. This looks close but typical for Suzuki, it seems nearly great, missing a few key points that you have highlighted. I’ll have a test ride once the weather improves. 😊

That bike is a winner for me. I like it over the S1000XR (even though that bike is awesome). Swap tires to Metzeler M9RR, ECU Flash, Slip-On.

I sure love mine. Bike before was a KTM superduke and it drove me mad with problems, so far the GX has been flawless.

I swapped out the OEM Dunlop tyres on my GX for Pilot Road 6's .. what an amazing difference .. also fitted a 180/55 rear .. superb bike now and handles like a dream

It is a great bike. The engine alone is a reason to buy it. Peach! ❤ I also liked the suspension a lot. Winner in my eyes.

Have you ever encountered with rattle sound which comes right side of engine block when bike is hot ? Thanks.
@awakeadventurer91983 күн бұрын
Some call it the hot start rattle. Timing chain. One guy in UK got the dealer to adjust it, tighten the tolerances. Free. Was a little better he said.

One thousand miles and three days and you really didn't find anything to complain about, except the seat (which is expected regardless of the bike)? When I watch a review I want to also see the bad parts...
@ABRmagazine3 ай бұрын
I did struggle with the seat, the brakes could have been sharper, the bike needs heated grips as standard in the UK, and I'll never understand why a bike designed for touring doesn't come with an quickly adjustable screen from the saddle, but those complaints aside, it's a damn impressive motorcycle for the money. There wasn't much else to moan about.

How comfortable the seat for pillion? I was thinking to get this one vs s1000xr.. but my main concern is how comfortable it’s to ride with passenger?

No heated grips on a $18,900 (us) bike is crazy. This bike is the same price as a multistrada V2s in the US

No provision for a top box so certainly not a consideration for me for touring with a pillion
@ABRmagazine3 ай бұрын
Suzuki don't do an official one which is frustrating, especially if you want to match a top box to the side cases. You can get an aftermarket top box from the likes of Givi or Shad.

Yet another test rider that refuses to say anything bad about a bike for fear of upsetting the supplier.

This really isn't the case. The review reflects the experience I had with the bike. As I mentioned in a previous comment, I did struggle with the seat, the brakes could have been sharper, the bike needs heated grips as standard in the UK, and I'll never understand why a bike designed for touring doesn't come with an quickly adjustable screen from the saddle, all of which I spoke about in the video.
