9:47 it says ATSUI. My granny used to tell us stories about the tunnel and she said the boy that was set on fire on that tunnel actually saying a word while burning to death and that is ATSUI. If you're going to listen to it carefully, it sounded like a kid. every time a tourist visits a tunnel they can hear mumbling voices of a kid sometimes captured by their camera

I'm sure someone else said this further down, but... That's literally Spirited Away. You two took a wrong turn down a forest road in the Japanese countryside. After going down a poorly maintained dirt path, you came to a narrow stone tunnel in a hill, surrounded by trees and with a light just barely visible at the end. You went into the pitch black tunnel on foot, and arriving at the end, found a small body of water. I'm 95% sure if you'd kept walking you'd have come into a quaint but empty village with irresistible food stalls down every street. How a guy who calls himself "The Anime Man" didn't immediately start referencing Miyazaki is beyond me.

BTW, that weird clamp thing is a compression clamp. It's often used with Dialysis when the pair of needles are removed with a bandage so you don't have to hold them down for 15 minutes. The curved side clamps the outside of the arm, and the stubby end holds the bandage in place over the hole in your vein. Used in pairs usually (one over the in-hole, and one over the out-hole). As for what one is doing randomly laying in a creepy tunnel? ...no idea.

hello, I have been a fan for 2 years now and I think your cycle across Japan series will be remarkable. I would also make a little suggestion. Since you are cycling for a long distance and cover a lot if cities, it can be quite easy to lose tack on you whereabouts. Maybe in every episode, you could show us a road map about where you have been and the planned route for the day. in addition, maybe you could mark the episodes by different regions, and the trip in each region will reflect that particular theme, culture, food and so on. (use england as eg, south east ep, midlands special, scotland edition)
