After this repair mine cleared after trying before screwing down but then after fixing in place the dreaded lights came back on. I cleaned the ground point below the battery & then ran through an auto bleed (without bleeding) using my scan tool. That worked, drove a couple miles, all ok 🤞

I fixed the EBCM this way and have no error codes when standing still, but the error codes come back after the car starts rolling. I don't think I've seen a single video about EBCM where someone mention that. It's all; "ignition on, code gone, yay". Might be worth to do a rolling check before popping the champagne.

Any tips on actually opening the ebcm silicon seal?
@maintainersgarage3 жыл бұрын
. If you look at the ebcm i gouged it up good.Keep that in mind going fwd. Use a razor and cut deep as possible on the horizontal plane with the ecbm screw holes pointing up. Then use multiple wood wedges or pry bars or screw drivers prying up working your way around. And once you get an 1/8 inch gap all the way around clean out that hole in the video where i say use a punch and beat the heck outa it. A good vice will help a lot here. If no vice, gouge and pry and gouge and pry

Maybe, not all pre2001 models had active handling. So it could apply if you have active handling. There was a software and hardware change in 2001 so i can't say for sure this doesn't apply
