to anyone who's wondering whether or not to follow this ab routine, DO IT!!! almost two months into my workout and here's an update: as someone who barely had any muscle in the beginning, I've gone a longgg way. week 1: daily workouts! i couldn't finish one of the psycho crunches three of the seven days. paused every break to drink some water (15 sec wasn't nearly enough). it was hard to keep going, but i did nonetheless. week 2: daily workouts! can finish all exercises *PLUS realized drinking water right after psycho crunch + before side-to-side worked best* (it gave the water some time to reach my stomach instead of sloshing around during my workout) week 3: daily workouts! was on a trip but still used makeshift dumbbells (juggling balls), even stayed up till 12-1am to make sure i wouldn't miss a day. *PLUS realized that doing the workout right before dinner was most optimal* shouldn't workout 1.5 hours until after a meal, 45 mins until after a decent snack week 4: 6/7 day workouts! this is the point where the daily workouts are INGRAINED in me - it's a habit now and i don't have to force myself to. was bc i needed to study for a test and it was already 2am. i was pooped. *BUT i feel the tightness in my core sometimes* when I'm leaning to the side - makes me feel strong :D week 5: 5/7 day workouts! gave myself a genuine break bc i felt like i could rest a few days without losing motivation to continue. *i feel tightness in my abdomen multiple times throughout the day :)* week 6: 5/7 day workouts! *I SEE GENUINE RESULTS* definitely rock hard muscle at the top of my abdomen, the middle is not super defined. not the abs this youtuber has, but i see the slight change in the shape of my belly week 7 (this week): 3/7 day workouts! a lot of tests going on & needed to prioritize sleep, so :( BUT now, my abs are not going anywhere, so breaks are fine. always remember to *take breaks if you're feeling too sore* PLUSSSS *i feel the tightness in my core when i'm WALKING!! isn't that crazy?!??* man i love this guy thank you for such an amazing workout video. this guy knows the outcome of each exercises inside and out. conclusion?: DO THIS and keep going! week 4-5: FEEL different. week 6-7: LOOK different (to the degree where difference in before and after photo would be pretty clear). you got this, i know you do :)

(TL;DR: This worked for me while being done every other day for multiple weeks). I want to clarify something first before sharing my experience with this workout: When he says "Don't give up", he means quitting the exercise or whole workout. Taking a one second break because you aren't able to breath anymore is not giving up. I have been doing this for four-ish weeks and I have only seen results and I am taking less and less breaks for breath during the exercises. Now my experience: I've been doing this for four weeks every other day. I am 15 years of age and male so anything I eat gets put into testosterone with me so my diet is fine. My abdominal area was kind of bubbly as it had a bit a fat, but now while it's not a full on hardcore six-pack, I am seeing results. My obliques have shown quite visible, my lower and upper-abs have been growing to a point where I can definitely see good progress. And because of this, my extremely negative self image has been becoming more and more calm which is amazing. There were a few days where I overworked myself and couldn't sleep well, but I have learned from those mistakes and adapted. So yes. This workout really works to get your abdominal area to show very visible. This was the first workout I have ever done in my life and it seems to take less and less time every single time I do the workout. Because at first, it was a fucking drag. Now it feels like it takes eight minutes. I will be continuing this workout and do other workouts of him as well. I'll update this in four or more weeks from this post.

Started today. Doing this and another ab routine, alternating every 2 days. Will update this comment weekly for 6 weeks to try and give you guys a good review. Edit 1: I’m at the start of week 3. The past 2 weeks I haven’t felt much long-term soreness (as in the next day). I added some more weight onto the weight of exercises and I’ve been trying to flee the ab muscles tighter on the ones where you crunch. I’ve never had abs so I’m hoping to get my first set. I’ve done abs in the past so I’m a little skeptical. I will keep at it! Edit 2: End of Week 3. I added weights to the Alternating Tie Touch and standing side by side this week. A lot harder to pull off but I pushed myself to do it and will continue this until the end. Still no visible differences. Rather than alternating this routine and another, I just did this routine 3 times this week. I will continue this next week as well. Edit 3: Start of week 5 today. I will move on to a new program after week 6. No noticeable difference. One thing I will say that might be said to death but it needs to be told. If you want results, you must also work on your diet as well as the workouts. I’ve recently started putting mor vegetables in my diet. This might be small, but everyone starts somewhere. Where will you start?
@IAmNotARobotPinkySwear3 жыл бұрын
If you can't see your abs after doing this for 6 weeks straight (!) you have too much body fat in your core/belly area. Cardio/high intensity workout along with CICO will help immensely in my opinion. Even when I was 160 lbs I never had abs.

@@IAmNotARobotPinkySwearhi, i wanted to know how much cardio should i be doing per week to loss fat? I have some really high amount of body fat in my belly area. Is cycling enough for cardio?
@IAmNotARobotPinkySwear Жыл бұрын
@brendongomes9945 weight lifting and cardio to burn the extra fat. Cardio is ok but you have to do like at least an hour a day of high intensity to see any results. If that's too much the cut down on calories and do more weight lifting. Weight lifting burns way more than cardio, combining the two is the 2nd fastest way to get results. Fastest is cardio+weight lifting+calorie deficit
@brendongomes9945 Жыл бұрын
@@IAmNotARobotPinkySwear if possible can you help me out with how my workout routine is? If any exercises are to be added or reduced. I do full body weight lifting for 5 days and 2 days of rest a week. My warm-up exercises are high knees, planks, jumping jacks, arm circles, mountain climbers. I don't do these in sets because i had tried doing them and later on, I used to pass out after within 3 sets. I do these for around 5 minutes. After that I do 3 sets of Goblet squats, walking lunges, lateral raises, hammer curls, bicep curls, overhead extensions, floor press and shoulder presses. I do all of these exercises using dumbbells only(currently). There's no gyms in my nearby area so that's why i have access to dumbbells only 😕.

So after doing this for about 4 months I can tell you that it totally works! You have to push yourself with diet and exercise. This by itself won’t do a lot. Try doing some cardio like 5k a day. When I started I wasn’t necessarily fat but I did have chubby sides and after just 2 weeks I saw improvement. I totally recommend this to anyone trying to get fit. I’m 17 by the way.

Hey Scott! Platinum member, I love your website, videos, and home programs. I'm on WEEK 1 of MONTH 3. Question: Because I mixed some calendars of yours up, I've been on this schedule for the past 3 months while following your 12 WEEK HOME PROGRAM: MONTH 1 Sunday: Upper Body 1 and Abs 1 Monday: Lower Body 1 and Abs1 Tues: Rest or Cardio Wednesday: Upper Body 1 and Abs 1 Thursday: Rest or Cardio Friday: Mildly Active Rest Saturday: Mildly active rest When I hit Month 2, I kept this schedule and used MONTH 2 workouts. When I got to MONTH 3, I kept this schedule and did 1 WEEK of MONTH 1 workouts as you advised in your plan. Now I'm on WEEK 1 of MONTH 3 and I discovered that your calendar is different than this. Basically, I'm wondering if I should switch the routine up and do what you suggest or keep it how it is. I feel great, your meal plan macros are working and I'm seeing consistent physical changes. Thanks Scott! Keep being one of the best on the internet in the fitness world.

Just something interesting to point out. At 4:40 it is recommended you do that with 1 dumbell. Because holding 2 dumbells will make no sense. Who ever studied anatomy and how to train each muscle will understand what i mean. 10kg on 1 side and 10kg on the other side, each one compensate and its like doing it without weights. You should only do with 1 dumbell, say 10kg on one side. Try it and see.
