@beniciounfiltered7861 yes HP, the orange strength bar, allows you to lose less eq. If you got 100% strength and i.e. 200 HP, you lose idk 20 strength per enemy CAS sortie, equals 10% of EQ. With 120% or 240 HP, you have the same amount of EQ in division, and with Operational Reserves and and hospitals, you lose ~8% of EQ per the afformentioned sortie, so it's approx effective as EQ recovery rate from maintenance but also works on defence and gives other buffs. So it allows you to trade better and endlessly push without losing veterancy (25% per level on all stats is REALLY big) and losing less equipment, but also let's you hold forever and out trade the enemy. That's why Mass Assault (especially mass mob but also for other reasons) and hospitals on tanks and big infantry divisions are dominant on tryhard MP. It's honestly gamebreaking and frankly, probably an oversight by paradox

Cavalry is also decent for offensive divs early on. Using them with motorize arty while transitioning to motorize infantry in 40's. Sure they will slowing div down but still faster than infantry breakthrough div to make manouver and encirclement.

Does it make sense to invest into medium flame tanks? They get like no staats anyways accept the terrainmoddifiers, so in my opinion you should just build the cheapest light flame tank you can and save IC

About the 9/4: isn't line artillery trash because of the 3 cw? You have similar stats per cw by just using inf battalions for offensive infantry

I use a single battalion of line artillery for my infantry when I'm going on offensives. I use support artillery for all frontline divisions.

Excactly what i thought. Rush simply for InfEq development and spare the IC for producing artillery (except in lower numbers as support company witch is really good). The combat width of line artillery (3) and the lack of good modifiers for it (doctrines/generals etc) makes it a bad deal in comparison to pure inf div. More Inf battaillons per div until the targeted combat width of the division instead of the line artillery battaillons outperforms the div with line artillery in mid game easily. As i said, depending on the progress of developing InfEq. In early game it is absolutly viable to build templates with LA if your production can afford it. Personally i would switch as soon as possible to non LA inf div's and use the IC instead for tanks & planes.

i am curious if support companys like logistic is worth on tanks, since its lowers the hardness also against AI, i never build AA as a major, because i can crush them in the air anyway

Logistic company barely lowers hardness and in exchange your tanks will fight better with less supply use. This is very good if you are attacking. If you are defending with tanks you will have much better supply

Logistic companies won't reduce your hardness. You may be thinking of armor, but the reduced cost in supply and fuel often outweights the tiny reduction of armor and piercing.

@@Aragorn-87 sure and hardness doesnt matter anyway against ai, because they cant pierce you - so they do so little dmg to your tank. on the other hand, i barely have supply issues. Even in russia you are fine, when you give them full motorisation supply + upgrading a few railways

@@Pydgin not the hardness displayed by number. Below all those stats, is a brown bar that displays the armor ratio - that is what i mean. It defenitly goes lower. And since i have no supply issues on Elite with these massive debuffs, i dont see them beeing worth it. Like you have to upgrade railways anyway in russia + with high motorisation prio its enough.Also the Research Speed is so disgusting in Elite, that i have better Things to do

@@lennyauspackenif you don't make enough troops then logistics won't matter. Honestly on vanilla SP you can easily do world conquest with a few dozen infantry and 2 medium tanks. But if you're playing something harder like AI mods or MP then the logistics support will make a difference on the ~60-100 armored divisions you field until mid-late game
