honestly i play total war games and sc2 and i must say with Wood Elves i feel like i am playing sc2 because you have to micro like crazy, but i have the easiest time defending their forrest province because the enemy gets shoot down before the reach the top of the hill where i leave my male reserves. If one knows how to micro then Wood Elves are top tier, but i have also tasted defeat with 2 Empire armies that got out played by Wood Elves, as the AI for Wood Elves is so damn good.

This is the Spiderman meme, but with guerrilla tactics. Really easy to use because of the trees and cavalry but hard to come up with if you are used to playing as the Empire. Guerrilla tactics are fun as the Wood Elves, but also work against WE AI because AI doesn't really change across factions

​@QuantumPheonix3 I'm not 100% sure, but I've seen some videos about Nurgle stink doomstacks and it seems you can drop it to 0, cant be negative, and then units get bonuses like close to friends, lord etc

@@QuantumPheonix3 it cant go negative as far as I know 😊 This was just more of a joke in comparison 🤣 But it does not really matter if a unit has 10 or 20 leadership As legend said anything below 40 is troublesome against units with fear /& terror. It will break anyway so the best thing is to switch tactics and use different army compositions to compensate (Like in the case of skaven - just use a weapons team army and eliminate the enemy with range instead of going head-on)

If you’re playing on hard/VH, enemy units will always start the battle with some leadership no matter what. “Campaign leadership” can only be reduced to 0, and then they get buffs added to that once you load into the battle. It’s technically possible to see a unit start with 0 leadership on easy or normal though.

The first time i encountered this it really pissed me off. Outrider with lauchers being terrified by dogs - 30 leadership for being close to combat. Why you never feel bad by auto-resolving.

Honestly, fighting the Wood Elves is both extremely tedious and extremely frustrating. Them declaring war on you is a campaign ender. Even if you win the war, I've found the fun has been completely killed.

I hate how you can see the commander AI split the difference between the 'hidden' infantry and the very much visible and attacking cannons, and move between them because it can still see where Balance of Power is on the map. It made the cannons pull a lot more weight in the battle, but the fact the AI regularly ignores that a unit is stalking or forest-hidden is pretty frustrating.

Apparently, for some reason, the Victory conditions consider not just army losses but ammunition use for the results. Because you used so much lead to fling at the trees, the game counts it as pyrrhic.

Always has been. Also the Chaos battle music is used across Norsca, Beastmen, WoC and every single one of the monogod factions (Not Daniel though), and if I'm not mistaken it's the same music that WoC has been using since WH1. Gets very tiresome honestly.

​@@spookydan39 Well, Akshually 🤓 you are wrong on both accounts, Lizardmen music is only shared with WE since the start of WH3 - previously they shared music with Empire, Dwarfs and Brettonia, because they never had their own. Changing it to Lizardmen is actually an upgrade in my eyes lol. While all of the chaos rabble does share music, it is not WoC music from WH1 and 2. It was actually scrapped altogether and replaced with new monogod music for everyone in WH3.

I don't know the specifics but I know units with high armor and melee defense are strong in auto-resolve. Missile strength "seems" to be useful as well but it seems more variable with that.
